Hi ladies! I am an old ttcma member trying for #2. I am on 50mg on my fist cycle. FF places my O date on CD 17. Would you go in for progesterone draw on CD 21 or wait till CD 24?

Are you having any monitoring done with bloodwork/ultrasound? I'm asking because Clomid can mess with your temps/OPKs.
If you are fairly certain you didn't O until CD17, I'd definitely wait until CD24 for the b/w, otherwise it won't really tell you much. They call it CD21 bloodwork, but that's based on an average O date of CD14...progesterone should be tested at 7DPO. Good luck!

Hey, Melissa! No I am not having any other monitoring. I temped on clomid with my last pregnancy - it was right on and I had no idea there were issues. Can you elaborate? The thing is, I'm not really certain when I O'ed. The temp rise was pretty profound, but I swear I had mittelschmerz on CD 14-15. Here's my chart!

given that you had fertile CM through CD17, I'd go with it as O date. I'd go in on day 24 for your progesterone check.

I wish I could help you. My RE does blood work everytime I am in there. So I am not sure what he is testing for all the time. Pre O He does blood work CD3 again CD7 CD14 and if I haven't O'd he will do it again CD15 or16.
Do you have a history of low Progestrone?

Gosh, that sure looks like a pretty chart to me...I'd go in on CD24. Not all women have crazy temps on Clomid, it is just an issue that some have to deal with. Good luck, and I hope this is your BFP cycle!!

Thanks, Melissa. I thought the spike was pretty, too. I hope this is it - I am ovulatory but have low progesterone and can't sustain a pregnancy on a natural cycle. My son James is the product of 1 month of CLomid, so I'm just hoping I just need that little boost again!
Now the hard part - If I go in on CD 24 that's Friday. Boo. That means I won't get my labs back until TUESDAY. How can I stand the wait?!

Ack! So they won't give you the progesterone Rx until you get your 7DPO labs?

I've never had success with progesterone suppositories, actually, so we kind of just call it a lost cycle and bump up the Clomid the next month. James is a 100mg kiddo. Before I had him, my 7DPO labs on a natural cycle were .24. On 50mg they were 10.6, and on 100mg they were 18.2. That 100mg cycle was James' cycle.
I've lost 60 lb, so that helps and my natural cycle bloodwork was 5.3, so we are really thinking this 50 mg dosage should be a go. I hope so!

Congrats on the weight loss! Here's hoping that the 50mg works and that you won't need to see your 7DPO labs because you'll be getting BFPs first
