I went in on CD16 to get an u/s to see how things were going in there. The tech got excited and told me I had a 28mm follie. That felt pretty large to me based on the numbers I had seen but I figured she knew better. I was supposed to ovulate in the next few days. I came home and started talking to people who immediately started wondering if it was a cyst. I tried to be hopeful but as the OPK's continued to be super dark or positive day after day I realized that my body was trying to O with no success. I was using the CBEFM and it just gave me a high everyday never peaked. After about a week of all of those I gave them up. I was running low and I couldn't trust them anyways.

So for me, all signs are pointing to cyst Have you ladies ever had one before? What did your doc give you to make it go away?

I've had numerous cysts thanks to PCOS. I'd give your doctor a call and have them run some bloodwork to see what is going on. Some cysts don't interfere with ovulation, and others do. Soemtimes just letting them rest worked, other times I had to have them drained/removed during a laprascopic procedure.

Ditto, Jen...you should have some bloodwork done to see what is going on. Resting can help, but my RE usually put me on BCP and/or Norethindrone to make them shrink asap so we could get back to TTC. Sorry you are having this stumbling block

When I was super young. I had cyst on my ovaries and they put me on BCP. I think my mom begged them to though. They told me it was to shrink my cyst, which could be, but then I ended up staying on it till I got married.

BCP stops the hormone that makes cyst or follies grow. Then it will have good change of going away instead of continuing to grow.

I had a cyst which delayed the start of my ivf cycle a couple of months ago. I was on bcp for about 3 months to reduce it. Then he put me on Ganirelix injections to try to do the same but it just remained there. He aspirated the cyst when he did the egg retrieval. Hopefully I won't have any problems with cysts for this cycle. Good luck

I had a cyst from a previous IUI cycle that made me skip a month of injections to let it subside. Then during my last IUI, I had a cyst but the RE just let me keep going. My RE said that cysts can be a side effect to some of the medications you're on during a medicated cycle.
