Wooohoo!!!!!! Tuesday, 24 January 2012 - 4:45 p.m. - that is our appointment set to meet with an RE!!!!!!

A little miffed that this appointment was made without a phone call...I called MY doc last week after DH's doc told him to think seriously about having that Varicocele surgery done (which we're still on the fence about...) and whomever I spoke with at my doc's office said she'd send over the referral to Midwest Fertility and that if I didn't hear anything by Friday (today) to give her back a call.

So I just called and yeah - they've had our information, set up an appointment, sent us out the new patient packet...but NEVER called us! oh well though. Really not a big deal...just more miffed because I'm not patient and I've been sitting here staring at the phone all week! haha.

Oh I am SO SO SO excited!!!!

Hopefully they can run a few more tests on ME to make absolutely certain that there isn't anything wrong on my end...the only thing I HAVE had done thus far is an hSG test done last year that showed that I had one blocked tube...however I want to confirm and make sure that the test wasn't faulty or anything and that I really truly do. I understand there still can be something wrong (obviously i hope that there isn't)...but my cycles are almost textbook, 25 days one month, 30 days the next, 25, 30, 25, 30...and every month my OPK is positive on the 14th day of my cycle.

Now I DO have Insulin Resistance and have been on Metformin for 4.5 years now - but I've never actually been told that I have PCOS or anything (and every year my yearly/pap comes back fine - the doc has never said she's concerned over anything).

So I've really been in a lot of "un-knowing"...just going along, THINKING that everything on my end is OK (and I truly hope that it really is) - but also wondering maybe they're missing something...

oh well. I'm just SO excited to finally have an appointment! !!

Yup! I just hope that we can get to the point where at LEAST IUI is an option.

I'm so excited for you!! I swear, going to my first RE appointment was one of the best days of my life...I had someone whose whole job was to get me pregnant I hope you get lots of answers and can start working on a plan to get that BFP! Congrats on the first big step!
