CONGRATULATIONS on being smoke-free for 8 months! That is a huge accomplished goal!!

AFM, I don't really make resolutions, but this is the time of year where I start trying to lose the extra pounds packed on during the previous Thanksgiving to New Years. As for how I am doing...eh, so-so. The Christmas candy is still in my house and that is pure evil! LOL

I have 2!

#1: I want to not put my foot in my mouth so much (so I'm thinking more before speaking). I've had one slip up.

#2: I want allow DH to be more of a partner instead of giving into me because I keep asking the same thing over and over until he gives me the answer I want. I've really been surprised at the change. I can't believe how much I tried to rule the relationship and everything had to be my way. It's actually refreshing for DH to make a decision sometimes. (I needed to do this since we're putting an addition on the house. He has his thoughts and I have mine. Before he'd give into mine & then I'd wish I picked differently.)

Raina, congratulations!! I admire people who can quit such a strong addiction like that. I have a hard time with caffeine, so your strength amazes me

My resolutions were:

1. Exercise more and stop making excuses! I am not doing that great so far, but I'm working on it!

2. Keep in better touch with friends/family. I am good at keeping up with people via FB and email, but I have older relatives and a few friends that I really need to just call or write an old fashioned letter to. I have already written to two of them, so I think I'm improving.

My only real resolution was to enjoy the family we have and not focus so much on what we don't have. I'm doing okay so far....but we're only 10 days in, lol
