My RE called and said DH's results are consistent with a prostate infection. Hubbs will be starting an antibiotic tomorrow (for 2 weeks) and getting a repeat SA in a month. He's also going to bring his results to the urologist and see if there are other things his doc would like to check, but my RE thinks the big problem is the infection. He said that the low count is the only thing that's not consistent, and that while it is low, it's not necessarily critically low (11m), especially if DH has gotten me pregnant. He said he almost straight up doesn't believe these results are accurate, but no matter what, we need to get rid of the infection, so we'll start with meds since they can't really do any harm anyway.

I'm also going to have him use the L-Carnitine

Thanks for being here for me while I freak out

well the good news is that the infection sounds like it can be easily treated and your RE doesn't seem too concerned about the count. I'm still hoping this cycle works out for you so it won't even matter

That really sounds great, all considering.... I would rather know exactly what is wrong and then treat it. With DH they just gave him a broad antibiotic without really knowing where the infection is. I guess that is fine, but still. I would rather know exactly!

I hope your SA in a month comes back much better and that you can move forward quickly! Are you going to IUI after that? Best of luck!!

This sounds really positive, Erin! I hope the meds do the trick and that things are much, much better next time around. My fingers will be crossed for an outstanding SA next time!!

That is great. Make sure you give DH a little extra attention. Sometimes we forgot how hard this stuff is on them too. He needs his wife right now to be supper supportive.

When my DH SA came back. He was seriously depressed for about 2 months. He was super clingy too and wanted to be with me all the time. It was like he needed extra attention and reassurance that I wasn't going any place and that I still loved him the same and that he was still perfect in my eyes.

His SA is the same, but things are back to normal now so it doesn't last forever.
