I went in for bw and u/s this morning. I have a huge cyst on my right ovary. It measured 37 & my whole ovary was 49. The doctor wanted to review my bw before canceling altogether. The nurse just called me and told me to do my HCG shot tonight so that it forces me to ovulate and pop the cyst. The bw showed I ovulated on the bcp. The shot will also start my luteal phase. I go back in on Thurs. What are they checking Thurs? Just that the cyst popped? I didn't get a clear answer from the nurse on the phone. She's the weekend nurse. I'll call on Mon to my regular nurse. Just wondering if anyone has an idea what Thurs will be.

I would think that that's what Thurs. will be...just to check and make sure that the cyst has ruptured and is going away. They might also do bloodwork just to keep an eye on all your hormones.

Sorry for the delay...I'm sure it wasn't what you expected

Definitely not what I was expecting! As soon as I saw the cyst on the screen, I knew it was going to cause a delay.
So Thurs will be to check the cyst & I'll go in on cd3 and hopefully start injections then??
DH was trying to make me feel better and had 100 reasons why a Nov baby is good. His #1 reason was that he's a Nov baby!!! So cute. He always helps me thru the tears.
How are things with you, Melissa?? How did Claire do traveling?

Yes, I'd think that if the cyst is gone on Thursday, then on CD3 you should be ready to roll

We're still home...leaving in the morning. I'lll keep you posted!

That's my guess, is to make sure the cyst has ruptured. Just be warned, that cyst will probably hurt when it ruptures. I hope this doesn't delay you!
