I've had a bad few days when it comes to baby stuff...

Firstly we got DH's SA results back and they were pretty bad. His motility was 30% and 15% of those are "non progressive" though I'm not 100% sure what that means. His count was 24 mil so "normal" but on the low side of normal. And his morphology was 19% when they want it to be 30%. We got an appointment with a urologist on Feb 7th to try and figure out whats going on. Just upsetting

Then today I find out that my 18 yr old niece is pregnant. She's in a totally not so great relationship and is barely making ends meet as is. So hard.

I'm just ready for it to be MY turn. Here we are over 2 years after first TTC and I finally got to start Clomid and DH's swimmers aren't even up to the challenge. Ugh.

So sorry you are having such a hard time. Put your Dh on some vitamins (I hear good things about L-Carnitine) to help his sperm count and motility, and maybe they will get up to the challenge.

I know how much it sucks to hear about someone else's pregnancy, especially when they aren't nearly as prepared for a baby as you are. Try to stay positive, you'll get your BFP.

Hi Amanda...I remember you from other boards. I've been here since July (I think). Sorry to hear of your struggles. My DH went on L-Carnitine and his sperm counts improved all around & dramatically after 2 months on it. He takes it with his multi vitamin at dinner time. He went from 12 million to 54 million.

*hugs* HOpefully the urologist can give you some better answers, and hopefully IUI will at least be an option. I've heard great things about L-Carnitine and I think it's called Fertil-Aid for men for improving sperm counts.

HUGS i know it's tough to deal with pregnancy announcements when you're TTCing. I hope the urologist appt brings you some answers & better news.

To even add to that I found out the our insurance won't cover the Urologist until he hits his $500 deductible and then they cover 80%...The first appointment is gonna cost us $200 I just feel so overwhelmed by everything and scared with all this money going out. Spending big bucks has always freaked me out and I'm just so unsure of how this appointment is going to go.

I really need to check into L Carnitine. I looked at the store the other day but that dose was saying to give them like 4 pills a day and there's just no way DH would be into that.

I hope the urologist can give us some answers.
