So, tomorrow is my appointment with the Infertility Specialist!! I am looking forward to it! I am taking lots of notes with me - and hopefully my friend too (SO is working). I hope he sheds some light on my situation!
Wish me luck!

Questions are always good too. THings like- What is the first step before we start treatment, how long do oyu allow me to try each specific type of treatment before we move on to the next step, what kind of monitoring do you do during cycles, what are your office hours, what are the lab hours, do you offer any kind of discounts if we are self-pay, what are the standard fees for your office(office visit, ultrasound, IUI, bloodwork, etc).

Do you have a voice recorder feature on your cell phone? That's what DH and I do when we ask the dr. questions. We record answers. We recently recorded the instructions on how to do injections and I'm so glad we did! Best of luck!

Okay... so the appointment went well. He was very knowledgeable and kind and interesting and I felt very good talking to him.
Firstly he told me that my MTHFR test was not normal and so I am having another test done to find out more about that.
The we talked about the thyroperoxidase antibody - and decided that I will need to take thyroid medication from a positive pregnancy test throughout a pregnancy.
He also said I would need to be taking progesterone from positive test to the end of the first trimester (vaginal once ever 12 hours - omg - seriously???)
As for the positive ANA test - he said it is just not something he tests for normally and I decided that is okay with me as he seemed very knowledgeable.
Then we talked about the high FSH (9.5) for my age.... and he said he expected to see less eggs or whatever when he did the ultrasound. We talked about take dhea if this was the case.
We did an ultrasound and looked at my uterus and ovaries and everything looked completely normal - in fact he said I had the ovaries/eggs of a 20 year old. He could see a lot - I think he counted 8 on one side and 14 or more on the other.... the point is - that everything looks completely normal in there which is great, as I was really worried about DOR.
We decided that I take the AMH test to try to figure out what was going on with the FSH. We decided that I would not start taking the dhea until we got the AMH results back.
I took both tests today - one takes a few days to come back, the AMH takes three weeks!
Overall I am very happy with the results so far. He said even if the MTHFR extra test comes back bad - it is easy to fix with extra Folic Acid and B6/B12.
He also said I did not really need to be taking the baby asprin - but that I could continue to do so if I wanted.
Goodness, I know that all sounds like a lot - I just want to update you all!
The progesterone vaginally does not sound pleasant to me - I'm can't even remember why he wanted that.... but whatever!
I'm happy - and I feel like we are making progress!!
Now I just need to get pregnant!! My temperature dropped a lot today on my chart..... i hope it doesn't mean bad things.....

Sounds pretty good. Why does the AMH take 3 weeks to come back? Mine has always come back very quickly.
The progesterone isn't pleasant, but its not too bad.

I don't know why the AMH takes so long to come back. :-( I suppose it gets sent out.
Is the progesterone going to impact my sex life?

it depends on if your doctor says no sex while on it. You can always just DTD before putting the progesterone in. Honestly, every time I've been on it, I have felt too crappy or been too nervous to even consider DTD during the time, so I can't help you too much.

Why have you been feeling crappy? Does the progesterone make you feel bad???

Between being pregnant(and not feeling good), and the exacerbated pregnancy symptoms caused by the progesterone, it's just a rough feeling. plus for me, it's highly emotional...after multiple losses, I'm paranoid during early pregnancy and too scared to even think about sex.

Sounds like a great appointment! I'm so glad that you found a doc who will listen and pay attention to you when you have concerns!
Keep us updated when you get all your tests back...hopefully that AMH shows up more quickly than 3 weeks
