Ok thanks so much!

Jillian, I appreciate you writing all that out!! So with the trigger it won't matter with me because they will know exactly when to do it, right? I guess that's what I am unclear about. The way it says it on the info sheet they gave me is that with the trigger, they basically have a 4 hour window in which ovulation will occur, namely 34-38 hours from the time of the trigger. So if you did that the first cycle, why do you think it didn't work then? I am just wondering if that's something I need to think about since I also usually get 2 days of positive opks.

Thanks again for being such a huge help!!

Because I don't think I ovulated within the 24-28 hour time frame from when my OPK turned positive and that's when my IUI was performed. If they had gone with a 34-38 hour time frame that might have been different.

His sperm count was through the roof that cycle too. Just didn't work out.

And when I told the nurse I had waited she was NOT in agreement with my plan. Nevermind that I hadn't triggered and knew my body. They are all about doing the IUI the day after your first positive OPK, no matter how many times you tell them that is not close enough to your ovulation date. That's how that office was. I had to become my own advocate, like so many of us with fertility problems do.

Ok.. I will keep that in mind. Thanks. I still think it's so awesome that you did what you knew would give you the best chance, regardless of what the doctor thought. I'll kup on the results; hopefully they will call me with them the beginning of next week. Thank you again for everything!!
