Hi ladies,
It's been a while since I posted here but I'm a frequent lurker I'm on my first round of medically assisted TTC (this time) and I'm feeling a little nervous today so wanted to get some of your opions.
I'm on CD10 and have been doing puregon injections (75iu) since CD2. As of this morning I had 2 follies @ 13mm and 2 @ 10mm on one side and 1 follie at 12mm on the other side and my lining is 6mm. Does this sound ok for where I'm at in my cycle?
The last time I did the puregon injections was 3 years ago when I got pregnant with my son but I was on a 100iu dose and ended up producing 40 eggs (still only one stuck) so this time my RA wanted to try a lower dose but I'm worried that I'm having too slow a reaction to them and it won't work - what do you think? Should there be more by now? Should they be bigger? Should I be asking for a higher dose?
Thanks for reading!

That actually sounds pretty good...you don't want to many follies in there

Are you doing timed intercourse, or IUI? Are you going to use a trigger shot? How old are you? That will help us answer you better

Thanks for the response KMH!

We're doing IUI's (2 days in a row) with an HCG shot to trigger. I'm 32 years old.

A lot of docs will cancel cycles with more than 3-4 follies (depending on your age and circumstances) because the risk of higher-order-multiples is too scary. If your doc has you trigger so that the 3 biggest will definitely rupture, you'll be in perfect shape for a BFP. Good luck

if my follies still aren't big enough by CD14 do you just keep taking the puregon until they grow? I guess what I'm asking is can the HCG shot be given at any time the RA wants even if it's after the "standard" CD14? I always had it done on CD13 before but I was also always much farther ahead in my follie growth by this time.

Absolutely! Your trigger should always be timed according to your follie size, not just a "standard" day. If follies aren't mature enough, they won't rupture, and then you'll have cysts

If your largest follies are 13mm and they grow the average of 2mm/day, you should be ready to trigger around CD15-16 I'm guessing.

You sound like you are in perfect shape to me. Those follies sound perfect. Good luck on your two IUI in a row. I hope it works for you!
Tell us about your first success story too. I love a success story!

They probably looked at your bloodwork results and compared that do your follies and decided to give you a little extra boost.

Glad you are feeling better! Good Luck.

it sounds like you are on track for a BFP. I don't ever trigger on CD 14, I think 16 is the closest I have gotten, lol. Its all about what your body needs now, not what the textbooks say. Good luck!
