So ladies, we were supposed to go to our RE this coming Monday to start the IUI cycle and then today I got this:
Shocked isn't the word to describe how I felt. lol. I SO thought I was out this cycle and I honestly didn't even put a lot of stock into our timing etc (I guess that's why they say stressing about timing doesn't help ) but I tested from about 7dpo until 9 I think. At 9dpo I got a line that looked super faint but it was there but then at 9dpo pm and 10dpo am there was absolutely nothing, so I gave up on testing. On a whim, this afternoon, I tested and got the positive! It was an IC first, then the answer.
I was so focused on the IUI and excited to get that started and now looky there. Guess the HSG I had this cycle knocked something out of the way.
I wanted to thank all of you for the warm welcome and ALL the advice, help and support I got. My progesterone is really low when I am not on clomid and I wasn't this cycle so I am pretty concerned... AF was supposed to start either tomorrow or sunday and no one can test my progesterone until monday morning. I'm going in at 7am and they should know my noon she said. If it's low, he will prescribe it to me... I hope our bean will be fine until then!!
I would love to hang around and "stalk" for a while; you guys have been so helpful on this journey and I would like to see you get your bfps.

Nina -- I am so happy for you and Bryan. A baby is such a blessing and a free one is even better. I am delighted you don't have to role play and help collect that speciman.. no need for that now. :-) it is so crazy that the hsg made a clear path for the spermies! I love that you are a success story now. Success stories are what keeps us all going.

I will! Thank you for the sweet comments.
Thanks Lindsey for the compliment; I love my Donner.
So do you guys think it will make a big difference that I won't have progesterone yet (if I end up needing it) over the weekend? I also need to look up what "decent" numbers are so I know what they are telling me on Monday when they call! Just thought of that...
I will definitely update when I get home!!

When you said that your progesterone is normally low, what type of number were you getting? Fingers x'd that your number comes in fine even without the supplement so you don't have to worry.
My regular OB looks for a progesterone of over 10 for a healthy pregnancy...but told me that some women can sustain a good pregnancy with lower #s (she's had patients do it)...so sort of like HcG doubling, there are always exceptions to the normal levels that turn out just fine.

Thanks ladies!!!
As far as the progesterone goes; I never got an exact number. When they drew it (about a year ago, before I ever started on clomid) they just told me it was basically non existent. Even though I did ovulate (proven by crosshairs) they said progesterone looked like there wasn't even an ovulation that had occurred. Ugh I can't wait for tomorrow to bring answers; the not knowing wears on my nerves. Then my test this am wasn't as dark as last night's so I am really concerned about that. Wouldn't you think fmu is better than urine held for about 4 hours last night?? I'm taking another one around 8 am this morning...

Just because your progesterone was low one cycle doesn't mean it's low every cycle...and if they haven't followed you every cycle they don't really know if it's a recurring deficiency. My progesterone #s varied significantly across the few cycles I was monitored...so try not worry until they check your current levels.
I get my worst results consistently with FMU...i don't know why, but my best results were always either with late morning or late afternoon testing. I know conventional wisdom is FMU is the most concentrated, but when I took mine this AM mine didn't even look concentrated. And these tests aren't *that* sensitive so sometimes it takes a full 48 hours to see any significant change.
Getting your blood draw with RE will hopefully reassure you...that's so much more accurate & you'll get insight into what's happening with your progesterone. Did you already do first round of bloodwork or is that happening on Monday?

Don't be scared Nina - it will be okay. I bet your progesterone is right on track this time. Try and relax today and think happy thoughts. :-)
