I have never posted here before but I was wandering if anyone had any input on this...I just finished my 1st round of clomid and went in for an cd11 u/s today and my largest follicle was 12mm. My doctor gave me some estrogen supplements to take to thicken my lining. I was wandering if anyone has ever had to take this or heard anything about taking estrogen while trying to conceive. Thanks for any input.

Hello, and welcome. I'm not going to be much help, but here's my story anyway. I am taking Femtrace which I believe is an estrogen. When I googled it, it said that it has to be taken when you are taking Prometrium (progesterone), which I'm also taking. Prometrium can be pretty nasty and may cause cancer and I think that the Femtrace tries to counter-act the bad parts of it.

I don't know anything about estrogen thickening lining. My Dr. just put me on it and didn't tell me why. I did my own bit of research. A Vitamin B complex is supposed to help thicken lining, as well as Red Raspberry.

Did you take the Clomid days 3-7 or 5-9? Days 3-7 is supposed to help with producing more eggs, while days 5-9 is supposed to help produce a more mature egg.

Good luck in your journey. I hope it's a short one.

Chris
