Well ladies I just got my 3rd beta back and things are not great and I am freaked out although my RE doesnt seem concerned.

My HCG was at 178.7 and Progesterone was at 58.51...

My doubling time between HCG #1 and #3 is still ok as it is under 3 days, but between HCG #2 and #3 it is almost 4 days. My RE said that because we havent given it another full 3 days we dont have a good comparison for that number...so now I go back in on Wednesday to find out if we are having a miscarriage or not and man that word just scares the crap out of me... I dont even know what I would do. I am not spotting at all anymore...it was just that one time, so that is good right?

Ugh...someone please tell me it is going to be ok because right now I am not feeling alot of hope although I do still feel like our baby is with us!

I hope everything is okay and the time is just off. I don't think the doubling is a constant, exact thing. It's not putting out X amount per hour, it can fluctuate as far as I know.

Girl, you know I don't believe in anything "normal" as far as that stuff goes. My betas with Claire were off-the-charts low, and with the twins my doubling time was still 51 hours...most twins are in the 20s or 30s. Plus, if both beans tried to implant and one didn't make it, that will throw things off as your body adjusts. Please try not to worry too much (I know, easier said than done). I bet you have a healthy little bean in there and everything will be great when you get more numbers. Your progesterone is awesome!

I also had early spotting this time and everything is obviously fine...sometimes it just means your bean is snuggling in tighter.

That is great thinking Melissa about the both implanting and one did not make it. That could very much be what happened. I'm surprised with your twins your doubling time was in the 50's. See Alicia this could just be a little scare that turns out to be no big deal. That is what I'm hoping. Still saying prayers.

I am really hoping for good news for you on Weds. I would think that you are not spotting and that is GOOD. Praying for you!

Dr C or Dr D... Or the new one? If it's D doom and gloom doesn't surprise me at all. She wanted me to take the cancer drug because she though Lanie was ectopic. When I called and talk to Dr C he said he had hope and wouldn't even offer that at the point she wanted me to take it. My numbers were really off. After we had a heartbeat the only thing Dr C could think of was that she had a twin that implanted first thus the early BFP, but didn't make it. In the mean time she implanted so there was a spot where it looks like the numbers didn't go up like they should but it was just the one dying off with the HCG numbers and Lanie making them go back up. It was all confusing and his explanation made seance all at the same time.

Big hugs!

Dr D. is who I first got my numbers from. Then I called and talked to Dr. C and he wasnt concerned. He said since they are going up and it hadnt been a full 72 hours again he wasnt worried... and he said because my numbers with Mason were so low it doesnt really surprise him. Dr. D did our transfer this time cause it was a Saturday so I get to deal with her first now... BLAH!!! She is ridiculous.... Oh and I am not a fan of the new Dr. either.

Reading the peice the newspaper had with the new Dr I wasn't impressed. But with Dr D that isn't shocking at all to me. Had I taken her advice DD wouldn't be here. After what we went through with DH's diagnosis with her I pretty much had them put in my file only seeing her if necessary and Dr C wasn't available. The cycle with DD he took a break from his IVF cycles to come in to go over mine. The only reason we got D after the BFP was because C was on vacation for a couple days.
