Just back from my CD3 appt & scan with RE....some interesting news - i'm done with Clomid forever! Basically he's worried that i'm suffering side effect from Clomid of my lining getting thinner and decided he's taking me off Clomid for good and switching me immediately to Femara instead. I was glad he mentioned it immediately b/c I had planned to raise it with him - AF has been getting progressively lighter over the past 4 months and I was worried that it was b/c of thin lining.

Otherwise protocol this cycle will be essentially the same - I'll take the Femara starting tomorrow from CD4-8....then back for follie scan on 5/18 and likely take trigger shot that day, and then start the Prometrium & baby aspirin.

One weird/interesting thing from the appt - i already have a follie measuring at 11mm, which i thought was really odd since it's only CD3, but RE didn't seem to think anything of it. I had i think 6 others developing (along with the monster one ) on left side and a few others on the right side....he thought the left side would likely be the heavy lifter this cycle

I hope you get a great result with it Jen! Listening to RE talk through how Femara has fewer side effects than Clomid I actually wondered why Clomid is always tried first...maybe it's because Femara is offlabel use for fertility purposes?

I think so, plus CLomid is cheap, even without insurance coverage(under 30 bucks for 150 mgs). Femara is not cheap, at all- more like $80 for 3 pills at 2.5 mgs
