Sorry to call you out like this, but I am so amazed that you are already 31 weeks!! How are you feeling? How are things going? Please update us...I'm so excited that you are getting closer to meeting those two handsome boys
Melissa & DH
IVF babies Claire (4), Abigail (2) and George (2)
I am doing great!!!! In the "home stretch" now! I seriously cannot believe it!!! My husband is a complete rock star and has been using vacation to help me out at home (he gets 5 weeks paid paternity leave- and renewed VACA in July- so he had plenty to spare) My MIL will also be coming in June to help with Ronan and around the house, and just to be here when I go into labor.
I am feeling like a giant whale LOL. I am bigger than I ever was with Ronan, even at full term. My body is a complete mess of aches and pains, but I honestly am still SO SO HAPPY!!!! It just cannot put a damper on the pure joy I experience every time I feel them wrestling around in there.
I have appointments every week now, along with NST's to make sure babies are both happy, and thriving.
I had a growth ultrasound yesterday, and both boys are in the 50th % for growth of a singleton! almost 4 lbs each!
The really exciting part was that we finally got a profile shot of Kaden (baby A) ususally his head is buried in my pelvic bone so we have never seen his face. He looks SO different from Ronan and Trystan (baby B) His nose looks just like mine, where as the other two look like my husband's profile I cannot wait to see him in person
Here are some pics <3
Here is a pic of my nursery
I am feeling surprisingly prepared! Clothes have been washed and put away, hospital bag is getting packed today, I have all my nursing, feeding supplies washed and ready to be used again, diapers, burp cloths, etc.... I am just waiting for them to come
My goal is 36 weeks (full term for twins) and then any time after that I will be super excited about going into labor
Ronan hears a lot about "the babies" we have dolls around the house that we put in the car seats beside him, and he pushes them in the baby swings at home, he even hugs and kisses my tummy, but he really doesn't "get it" yet. He will be 2 1/2 years old when they come, so I can't expect too much lol. I am a little nervous about the transition, but we have a LOT of family support and I am hoping that will help make it easier.
Aw, that nursery is gorgeous! You do sound very prepared, and I'm so glad that the second half of your pregnancy is going much more smoothly than the first. 4 pounds already is awesome...grow boys grow!!
I know what you mean about being nervous how things will work with a toddler...Claire knows that the nursery is for the babies and we talk about it a lot, but it is hard to know how much she really understands for now.
