Had my acupuncture appointment today. I was scared. I think ttcma has given me complete panic over needles now. I swear I had flash backs of a few months ago of daily blood work and stim shots and it brought tears to my ears and made me emotional. I have suppressed ttc feeling for a few months and today it all was brought back to the surface.

Anyway. She took it easy on me and only gave me 10 needles. I was thinking one would be a better start. I thought they hurt like a little annoying pinch and a weird mild burn afterwards. I laid there for 30 min and tried to rest. She said I would get used to it and wants to see me once a week including my charts. So I suppose I better chart again.

Oh yeah taking those little suckers out hurt too.

She also gave me a book called the infertility cure. It is all about acupuncture and I have read that it can also help with morphology. Yes I will be dragging dh there too.

Oh yeah cd35 - I have not tested. My cycles seemed to have gotten longer since ttcma- I will test Tuesday if no af by then.

Glad it didn't go too badly

My ND told me that when it hurts when pulling them out, it's because your skin is trying to heal itself around the needle. Which means that your immune system is working well! So that's a good sign I guess?

Well my immune system must be working like a champ then. Crazy that it can try and heal itself within just 30 minutes. I don’t know if I can handle it if she decides to use bigger needles…. I hope she sticks to the tiny ones … I hope I start to enjoy it and look forward to going every week instead of dreading it like I was doing at the RE’s office. I would get myself all worked up just driving to the RE knowing they were going to take blood from my already bruised and sore arm.

I am enjoying the book she gave me. I feel like I’ve wrote it myself so far. It’s about a Dr. Struggle with infertility and turning to acupuncture as a last resort. That is exactly where I am at in my journey too. She ended up having two kids and then traveling to China to learn this and now practices this instead of Western Medicine. Okay well I am not a Dr. besides my Google degree, but everything she says is in the beginning about family planning and pain of infertility I felt like she understood.
I told her we are planning IVF in Oct and she said I would be pregnant by then and won’t need it. I loved hearing that, but I know she is just making sure she gets to see me once a week till Oct. I could see the dollar signs in her eyes. I know I know – I have a bad attitude! This ttc has made me bitter to say the least.  I’ll give her a chance though…maybe I’ll get the blessing of my life and write my own dang book. I should probably get a better attitude if I am going to that though or no one will read it. Lol
