Hey there! I just recently did my first round of IVF too, while I don't know a whole lot about PCOS, I will admit, 20 units sounds crazy high, I was only on 5 units once a day, I have no fertility problems and we were only dealing with male factor issues but I've honestly never heard of 20 units, I hear of 5 or 10 units, I would definitely question this because it sounds like they are doing a long lupron protocol on you which already has a tendency to surpress some people a bit more, but 20 units definitely seems excessive to me, I hope they get it figured out for you and that your successful!

I also went from Clomid + IUI straight to IVF, so I had no idea what my reactions would be to the injectable meds either. It can be a little scary! I was on BCPs for 2 months and then 10 units of Lupron, but I don't have PCOS, so they may just want to make sure you are adequately suppressed.

I did not do IVF at an MTF, but I am being seen at an MTF now for this pregnancy, and I know that sometimes they do get caught up in their processes and checklists. Sometimes you do become a number and not a name, so I would definitely ask and make sure they have considered all of your circumstances.

Good luck! I hope you see a BFP very soon!!

Well just remember, they monitor you often and if your too supressed and your follies are not growing quick enough, they can back off it some and increase your stims.

It looks like our dates will be pretty close! I'm doing my first IVF in July as well. Feel free to check out the July/Aug IVF thread up in the IVF subforum.
