Ok, I've met with my OBGYN, who thinks, because of some medical problems with me...that my only chance of getting pregnant is IUI, possibly with Clomid. I have a number for the RE and am trying to set up an appt there.

Just so DH and I can discuss the financial aspect a little before we go...how much does IUI run and how much is Clomid? Thank you!

My insurance cover my meds and I only had to pay $15. for clomid. I am now doing the follistim injections and they run me $65. Without insurance it would have been $1800. My IUIs are not covered so we pay out of pocket for those. My RE charges $324 for IUI and $6500. for IVF. I would call my insurance company and see what all they covered. HTH.

I am on Clomid and my insurance DOESN'T cover it (bummer). I obviously get the generic brand but this month it was $23 dollars for five pills (50 mg). So it's not bad at all! I think the cheapest pharmacy is Walmart so I would try getting it there.

Good Luck!

My insurance doesn't cover anything infertility related. My IUI's are $340 a pop

our insurance covers everything fully except the IUI. i'm not sure about clomid since we dont pay for it but the IUI is only 113.00. not too bad.
