I just did a round of Clomid at 100mg and had two follicles that were 12mm and 14mm my dr told me to do my trigger shot on july 3rd to give time for the follicles to grow a bit more. At my appoiment she said that I would go in for blood work today (07-11-12) and we would go from there. At first I thought she was going to be testing my HCG levels but I looked at the order this morning at the lab and she is just checking the progestrin levels. I am a abit confused as to why she would be looking at those, isn't a week after a trigger shot to late to ovulate? If the levels are high will that mean that I am pregnant or just that ovulation occured and I still have to wait until AF is supposed to start to know if I am pregnant? Thanks inadvance for your answers, I am very new to all this fertility tests and drugs.
My dr. draws my progesterone levels 7 days past ovulation to confirm that I did in fact ovulate. so that is what your dr is doing. Depending on your dr. they want to see progesterone level over 15-20 on a medicated cycle.
