Hi all. I really don't have anyone to talk to about these questions as DH and I are keeping our TTC to ourselves for now and he really isn't much help when it comes to my crazy questions since he is just as new to all of this as I am. So I figured I would come here and see if any of you lovely ladies could help shed some light and/or help me keep from going completely crazy.
Warning.

I should mention I had a U/S on June 29th and had two follicles 1 at 14mm and the other 16mm. So on July 3rd I took 5000 units of Novarel at 8am and with in a few hrs I had some mild cramping nothing major almost just felt like gas bubbles, they passed with in a few minutes and the rest of the day was pretty event free. DH and I DTD that night and I was little sore afterwards but just assumed that it was due to DH being a little rougher than normal. (Guess he was really into it lol) Then on July 4th through out the day had some twinges of pain like being stabbed with a hot poker they lasted maybe 5 minutes then passed. We DTD again Wed night. Friday I started to feel just off, i had strange waves of pain going from my lower abdomen on the right side across to the middle also I was extremely tired. Saturday came and the cramps were staying in the middle of my lower abdomen and I had to pee like every two hrs, which is not normal for me, also was dizzy. Got very upset to my stomach part way thru dinner and couldn’t finish eating.

Sunday cramps were gone, was still peeing every two hrs, was really thirsty, and was very sleepy all day. Monday came and I honestly felt as if I had the flu just blah. During all of this I had been doing research online and realized that everything that I was feeling was that of someone who was 6-8 weeks pregnant. I went in on Wed the 11 to check and see if I ovulated and the results showed that I hadn't. So just assumed the symptoms I was having was just a result of the trigger shot.

My DR bumped up my Clomid to 150mg, had U/S on the 23rd and had 1 follicle that was 19.5mm and I took another 5000 unit shot on Monday the 23rd at around 6:30pm, had no cramps or anything after the shot and we DTD Monday and then again Wed morning before work. Wed Morning around 8:30 or so I got the most intense pain on my left side it felt as if someone had reached inside of my body and was squeezing my ovary and trying to rip it out. This intense pain lasted several hrs and was almost gone by the time I went to bed. Since that pain on Wed I have had none of the same symptoms I had the first round of Novarel and I am driving myself nuts wondering what’s going on. I thought this round I would know what to expect and would make it the week till my blood work without going crazy.

So after all that rambling my question is could all the symptoms the first time been because I didn't ovulate and my body was tricked into thinking I was 6-8 weeks pregnant with the amount of HCG that was just being absorbed by my system and the reason I am not having the same feelings this round is because I actually Ovulated and the HCG isn't just being absorbed into my system? I am not getting my hopes up and in all honestly I am expecting to be told on Tuesday that once again I didn't ovulate and we are going to be onto round 3.

I am sorry this is so long I just wanted to make sure I gave as much information as I could. Thanks in advance for reading and any help or ideas.

I'm really not sure on the two triggers, as it surprises me that your RE would give you the trigger a few days after your appointment with no followup immediately.

However, it does sound like you might have ovulated with the second trigger shot, and it's pretty common to have early pregnancy side effects with the trigger. If this cycle doesn't work, I'd ask your RE about more frequent monitoring for a future cycle and also about doing a 10,000 IU trigger instead.

Don't feel silly! We've all been where you are before, just starting our journey into TTCMA. I've been doing MA for almost 5 years now, so I know more than I ever thought I would. These girls have taught me so much

I triggered 2 days ago with 10,000 IU HCG and had cramping and pressure for a little over 24 hours. It was not too bad but my doctor explained it was common as it helped push the little eggies where they needed to go LOL I have been testing with OPKs and HPTs to see exactly how long it stays in my system. Also to know when it left my system and if I am still getting positives around testing time I can be sure it is the real thing ;D I hope you O this cycle! When do you find out for sure?
