Has anyone ever known of someone who was pregnant but still had their period? I randomly Google stuff about TTC and found a forum concerning it. I know everyone is different just wanting what your thoughts were OR have known someone this has happened too.



My best friend from high school sort of had an experience like this. She was around 8 weeks along whens she found out she was pregnant. She had missed her period and took a HPT and it was BFN. A few days later she started her "period" which was super light and gradually started getting heavier with brown and some dark red. Nothing to really fill up her tampon or pad. She went in a week later she went to her GYNO because she thought she had a UTI or bladder infection and was told she was pregnant. They did an ultrasound and found out she was almost 8 weeks pregnant. Now her daughter is almost 5 and healthy as can be!
With her second she found out at roughly 8 weeks again and all her HPTs were negative. She went in to her doctor and confirmed her pregnancy; same thing happened.

twice I've had that happen, most recently last summer with my ectopic. 4 days of heavy bleeding and I swore I wasn't pregnant....went in for x-rays on my foot and had to take a urine HCG test and it popped up positive. shock. I'm under strict orders from my RE to take an HPT every time AF shows now to make sure I'm not pregnant.
