To me TTC is just a huge waiting game. Waiting to O, 2 WW, waiting on AF..... so what do you ladies do to help pass the time??

Tonight I am starting a sewing class. I am really excited about it. It is a 6 week class so hopefully it will keep me busy thinking about my projects I will be making.

Awesome...you'll have to post pics!

I crocheted. I started a gender-neutral baby afghan when we started TTC, thinking that by the time I was done I'd have a baby to go with it. Welllll, that didn't work out, so then I started making them for all my friends who were having babies. It really helped keep my mind busy and gave me goals to achieve while I was waiting.

Free time? What's that? How is it that I am 500x more busy being a stay at home mom to a toddler than I was when I taught a classroom full of Kindergarteners?

I try to meditate, do some yoga, and just so you don't get the wrong impression about me being enlightened, i watch garbage reality tv.

CROCHET!! Me too lol
I LOVE it!

I didn't realize there were a few of us. Anyone on ravelry? I love that site!! It's definitely the place to be for crocheters and knitters!

I have done blankets and slippers and hats and gloves. Over the last year or so, I've made baby sweaters and onesies and things. It makes me happy and I think we all need a bit of that!

I want to learn how to crochet too! But, one thing at a time lol. I really want to sew some summer dresses for my girls. Well probably just my oldest. She would wear a dress every day if I let her, even in the winter. My youngest is a tom boy.

I will take a pic and show you all what I make tonight! 3 weeks ago I took a beginners class before signing up for the 6 week thing just to see if I would like it and I made a pillow. I used a purple gingham pattern and my oldest loved it and puts it on her bed.

favorite book series is the JD Robb In Death series. I'm rereading it right now because a new book comes out this month. I love anything Nora Roberts, David Baldacci, Vince Flynn, etc

I love books! I love going to antique stores and flea markets and buying old interesting looking books and reading them. DH thinks I'm nuts. Oh well lol.

I crochet but I haven't done it in forever and I'm pretty sure I can't do much more than make a scarf LOL!

I love Nora Roberts too One of my faves.

I think anyone that can sew well is impressive!! My mom made all of our clothes. Sewing. They were so adorable and look so complicated!!
Everything I sew comes out crooked. I have no idea what I do wrong. I gave up lol
I would love to see some of your finished stuff when you get it going!!

I wish I could crochet! I used to scrapbook (still have everything) just haven't done it in a very long time...

Lately DH and I have gone back to the gym, so that helps - otherwise it's facebook and pinterest!

It's funny you posted this, because I made a blog post today about how TTC is nothing but waiting!

I have found the best way to pass time is to play video games. You think I'm just going to get on and do X real quick and then bam it's been 3 hours. It also gives me something to think about while I'm doing chores or something and would normally be thinking about TTC. I mean I still do think about TTC a lot, but not nearly as much if there is something I'm actively working on in a game. Plus a lot of games exercise my mind which I like.

I also read quite a bit. This year my goal is to read 30 books. That might not sound like a lot but some of the books I read are really freaking long.

I'm not crafty at all though so no craft projects for me.

I wish I was though.

I try to fill the waiting by reading...and my fav past time of all...planning amazing holidays (that I hope we'll one day take!)
My DH calls my vacation brochures my "porn"!
