So I have been thinking about the what if's. Yes, dangerous, somewhat obsessive behavior. But I can justify it with - I haven't even temped this cycle lol! So I need something to focus my energy on.

With that being said, if (massive, ginormous, in air quotes even) I got pregnant this cycle, I'd be due on my birthday! That's pretty cool I think lol. The only downside is I generally have my babies early and we're planning a cruise in September so that should be fun.

Of course... that's all based on what if.

For the past year, I have been really afraid to make any REAL vacation plans do to the fact.. " What if we are pregnant/having a baby then...?"

I think it is completely normal BUT then again I have also been putting together a baby stash for some time... clothes.. gender neutral bedding ETC.. I usually hit huge sales at Wal-Mart, Target, B-R-Us, etc...

A cruise sounds so amazing

I do the what ifs too but sometimes it stinks because you could miss out on doing lots of fun stuff. A cruise sounds really fun!

Yeah I have decided that we're going on the cruise regardless. It sounds like way too much fun to miss out on.

I do "what ifs" ALL the time. I'm just patiently waiting for the day one of them comes true for me!

All the cruise lines I know of won't let you go after 22-24 weeks, so you might want to check that out. I hope you have the BEST REASON EVER to cancel that cruise

Don't miss out on life because of this stuff! It's better to cancel and possible lose money than to put your life on hold for "what if"

It is so hard to not do that though... "What if" will still happen when it is suppose to regardless.

I am a total "what/when if'r"...

I LOVE exercising and got into running last year...but I stopped in september because IF I got pregnant with our first IVF...

right now my "what/when if's" are about whether or not I will be doing my first 5K or triathalon this year...because IF I am pregnant, obviously i will not do the triathalon...

sigh. but I am still training now anyways (even though it's not til september!)

I went through that last year. We had been planning our cruise this January for a long time but we put off booking it till I knew I would be less than 24 weeks when we sailed. Here I am, back from the cruise and starting a new cycle.

We should hopefully be moving in early 2014 so that has been on my mind. We don't have a spare room for a baby right now and I'd hate to get a new apartment just for a few months. But I also don't want to move before giving birth because I love my OBGYN so much. On the other hand I am so ready to get out of Florida. I'm really conflicted about that as you can see.

I am seeing a resemblance in the POAS’ers and the “What If’ers” HEHE! I could be wrong but that is what it is looking like so far!

I “what if” too, but I try not to let it stop me from living life still.

Me: Autoimmune (Hashimotos and Fibromyalgia), vitamin D and calcium deficiency. Treated with Synthroid, supplements, TCM and acupuncture.

DH: Severe MFI (low counts, low motility, poor morphology and high antibodies), likely caused by poor liver function. Treated with Clomid to increase total counts.

DD: Conceived after 1 year of TTC with progesterone to correct LPD (likely caused by undiagnosed thyroid dysfunction). Born Aug 2009 via c/s after an induction due to pre-e and HELLP.

TTC #2 since Oct10 with an early loss in Aug 2011. Post-wash counts are too low for IUI to be successful, so moving on to IVF/ICSI in May 2014!

IVF/ICSI #1 (May 2014): Estrogen priming and antagonist protocol, including acupuncture and prayer!
17/05/14 - Baseline looks good, start Gonal-F 225iu and Luveris 75iu
28/05/14 - 18 eggs retrieved, 14 mature
29/05/14 - 13 fertilized!!! All are looking great still on day 3, so we're going to blast!
02/06/14 - Transferred one 1BC blast, with 3 other blasts and 3 morulas to watch and freeze
03/06/14 - All embryos have arrested. None to freeze
09/06/14 - Faint BFP at home at 7dp5dt!!!!!
10/06/14 - Beta?

LMAO recovering!!

I think Gretchen would be proud! I've only used one OPK this cycle. I didn't buy any HPTs and don't plan on even using one until I cave. But I'm hoping I cave at like CD28 or something like that.

I'm a work in progress ok.. these 12 steps to POAS recovery are really, really hard!!! I coincidentally gave up soda at the same time so it's been really interesting. I already have tremors in my hands (seriously) and now it's worse lol!!!

OMG, Jen, I have peed on that many sticks in a 5-minute time period. How in the world are you doing it?

I think, after peeing on more than 50 sticks during my FET cycle, I can safely say that recovery is not for me. I'm a happy addict

Considering I pee on at least that many during a medicated cycle, I have no idea. I just have no urge to test. I took one target test the day I got my BFP, a FRER a few days later(that was a dud test and almost put me into a panic), and a wondfo most recently. I doubt I'll test again which is such a strange feeling to me...I'm used to testing every time I pee lol
