I believe it was "I told you so" and then "okay, well lets see what happens this time". as for telling him, he wouldn't let me have any alcohol to drink unless I tested(superbowl weekend) and so I tested late in the afternoon after chugging a ton of water assuming it would be negative at that point(even though I was pretty sure it would be positive in a few more days). it was positive so I slammed it down on the counter and told him I was mad now. I really wanted that alcohol lol, even though I rarely drink.
I love hearing how other people tell their DHs (or SOs) about their BFP. I never did anything exciting so I love hearing creative ways people do it and I also love hearing people not do anything creative because it makes me feel better that I didn't! hahaa!
Jennifer, that is cute you both kinda knew before you tested! I don't drink often either but when you want to, you want to. But here's hoping you don't get to drink for another 8 months!
I told Tom and showed him the stick. It took a couple of tests to believe me. It will be his first baby (at 47), he just kept saying, really quietly 'i'm going to be a daddy? i'm going to be a daddy.'
It was totally heart melting
i wish i had a good story...i don't I was so shocked when i took the (what i thought was 9DPO) hpt that I texted him and said "took test, it's positive, like crazy positive"...husband, being used to my crazy POAS line squinting ways didn't even really believe me about it being such a big line until he came home and then he promptly began panicking over thought of multiples.
When i got out of RE appt Monday, I texted him "must call me" and when i told him all of the crazy news he actually didn't even have a reaction he was so stunned...by the time he got home though he was all excited (keep in mind we assumed we were losing the pregnancy when i went in after all the bleeding) and now he's like a drill instructor on me about eating timely & drinking lots of water
