CD1 - Jan 22
Injections - Jan 22 - Jan 30
Trigger shot - Jan 31
IUI - Feb 2
Blood test - Feb 16

Got my progesterone results back this morning. My levels at 9.4ng/mL.

I've been researching what a pregnant woman's progesterone level should be at, but I don't think I understand.

My last cycle, my progesterone level result was 0.6ng/mL.

Is there a chance I can be pregnant??

You can't tell if you are pregnant or not by progesterone levels. Women with super low levels have found out they were pregnant and carried to term, and women with super high levels have gotten BFNs.

Was that progesterone done 7 days after ovulation, or was the progesterone test done on Feb. 16? Usually for a medicated cycle, you want to see a number higher than 15 at 7DPO.

Are you taking any kind of supplement?

Test was done exactly 2 weeks after IUI. I have been doing progesterone (Prometrium) inserts vaginally since 3 days after IUI.

Last month mine was 33 and I got bfn... Basically anything above 15 just guarantees your egg released

Mine has been below 15. Does that mean I don't have any eggs in my follicles cuz that's been a question in my head these days?

I'm not sure if my RE works tomorrow, but I'll find out from her about my hcg results. I doubt I'm pregnant

I don't feel like it and I'm tired and feel bloated. All my symptoms of PMS.

Tired and bloated can also be pregnancy symptoms! You haven't taken a HPT? (Yes, I'm a pee-stick pusher...can't help myself )

No HPT yet. I usually am a HPT believer too, but I'm trying to be patient and wait for the HCG blood test results from my RE.

If you are taking vaginal progesterone, it won't show up in your blood as high as PIO does. It's absorbed at "the source" where you need it the most, but frustratingly makes blood work harder to interpret. Crinone specifically binds so effectively to the uterus that it often has minimal impact on serum progesterone levels.

And if you are taking supplements, you have no way of knowing if you truly released an egg because the supplement artificially raises your progesterone levels with or without an egg release. There are also plenty of us that have surges on our LH sticks but nothing ever actually happens

Just echoing what the other ladies have said! If you're on supplements, that's going to cover any progesterone issues that you might have, so I wouldn't worry about that number too much.

Did they not do a beta at the same time as the progesterone draw? 14DPIUI is generally when they would do that, rather than a progesterone draw.

Me: Autoimmune (Hashimotos and Fibromyalgia), vitamin D and calcium deficiency. Treated with Synthroid, supplements, TCM and acupuncture.

DH: Severe MFI (low counts, low motility, poor morphology and high antibodies), likely caused by poor liver function. Treated with Clomid to increase total counts.

DD: Conceived after 1 year of TTC with progesterone to correct LPD (likely caused by undiagnosed thyroid dysfunction). Born Aug 2009 via c/s after an induction due to pre-e and HELLP.

TTC #2 since Oct10 with an early loss in Aug 2011. Post-wash counts are too low for IUI to be successful, so moving on to IVF/ICSI in May 2014!

IVF/ICSI #1 (May 2014): Estrogen priming and antagonist protocol, including acupuncture and prayer!
17/05/14 - Baseline looks good, start Gonal-F 225iu and Luveris 75iu
28/05/14 - 18 eggs retrieved, 14 mature
29/05/14 - 13 fertilized!!! All are looking great still on day 3, so we're going to blast!
02/06/14 - Transferred one 1BC blast, with 3 other blasts and 3 morulas to watch and freeze
03/06/14 - All embryos have arrested. None to freeze
09/06/14 - Faint BFP at home at 7dp5dt!!!!!
10/06/14 - Beta?

Thanks Lash. I've only had one follicle these last 4 cycles and I wonder if there's even an egg in it. I'm hoping for a BFP or with an up in my injections, more follicles next cycle. Having only one follicle dims my hopes

My RE orders me a progesterone test and I believe an HCG test every two weeks after IUI. I'll find out for sure tomorrow. As much as I wanna take an HPT, I'm waiting till CD30 for AF. I'll know before then tho from blood test.

Aw, that stinks. Maybe the increase in meds will be just the right recipe this time
