How long do/would you wait after a procedure to POAS - I'm having FET this Thursday at 11:00 am and I keep joking with friends saying I'll probably take my first HPT around dinner time that same day What is a realistic time frame to wait before PAOS?

Sorry for typo - meant POASers

I normally never POAS. Even after 5 IUIs, I think I may have tested early only twice.
That being said, I'd definitely test early on our IVF cycle, starting from 5dpt.

Wishing you all the best of luck!

LMAO Jen wow! I think I waited at least an hour!

In all seriousness, unless you're going to test out your trigger (if you're having one) I'd try (attempt, possibly even) to wait until 10DPO.

I had my FET at 3pm on a Friday. I started testing Monday night...so 3 days past transfer (only because I was traveling and didn't get to my HPT stash until that time ). I started getting a really faint line on Tuesday night (4 days past transfer). By Wednesday night I had definite lines on the FRER and a positive digi If I did another transfer, I'd start testing 4-5 days after the transfer *.

*That's what I say now...knowing me I'd test much sooner.

JenJen - DID anything show up that fast???

I've poas the day after trigger, just to see a bfp! I've always had the trigger gone 7dp trigger, so I usually test it out. But it can stay in your system 7-10 days....but with an FET do you even trigger? If you do, I'd suggest testing out the trigger first, so you don't see a false positive.

I've gotten my positives at 6dp3dt (9dpo) in the afternoon, so I think your 5dp5dt (10dpo) is a good day to start But I've had a friend not get her pos on IVF until 7dp5dt at night....so don't get discouraged if it's not pos right away! Everyone is different.

BEST OF LUCK!!

haha - JEN Serioulsy?

I don't think they do a trigger shot for FET. Do they? If not you have no reason to test till your BFP blood test! Save a stick - don't pee!

I didn't have a trigger with my FET...a lot of REs just give you enough estrogen that you don't ovulate during your cycle...your energy goes into growing a nice thick lining. You basically have an anovulatory cycle, but trick your body into thinking you ovulated by starting the PIO shots before the FET.

No trigger with my FET I've been on PIO Shots - Progestrone patches and Estrogen pills for a while now. When I went to the pharmacy to get my PIO the other day I stocked up on HPT - They were buy one get one free (the two packs) so I'm ready to bust them open - Sounding like dinner time on Thursday will be my first test
