Does anyone know if you can have an ectopic pregnancy after FET and if you could start feeling the symptoms one day after the transfer? I've been reading online about it but there are a lot of conflicting stories out there. I'm having some pretty bad pain on my left side. If I take a deep breath, sneeze, cough or even move wrong it hurts really bad. It's a sharp pain and I can feel it in the front and back in the area of my left ovary. No clue what an ectopic pregancy feels like or if its too early to feel it. I just know it really hurts. Strange - I wouldn't think you could get an ectopic from FET especially since I watched the catheder go into my uterus during the process on the ultrasound monitor. I called my RE office and they said it is probably from laying in bed.....doesn't feel like that Thoughts????

I have no idea when/if you would feel the symptoms...seems too soon to me, but I'm not an expert by any means. I definitely felt cramping in the 24-48 hours after my FET...implantation

Yes, unfortunately you can have an ectopic with an FET. Even if the embryo is put into the perfect spot, it can move, or some docs think that the fluid that is used to put the embryo in can push the embryo into the tubes. The chances are still really small, though!

If you went in, I don't think there is any way they could tell where the embryo was anyway. Usually you can't see anything on the ultrasound until your HCG is around 1200. (Mine was 356 I think at 11 days past transfer.) So I'm not sure what they could do other than tell you to wait it out.

I bet everything is okay and that it is just your LO snuggling in for a nice, long 9 months! I know it is stressful to wait and wonder.

Having had an ectopic myself I can assure you that you wouldn't get pain from it yet, you are probably having a bad post procedure pain
If its very miserable you should call your Dr.

Ditto Whiskey. an ectopic does not have pain show up until between 5 and 6 weeks, normally.

it's very possibly a cyst, or just your body reacting to the meds. hope you feel better soon

Agreed, Dr Google can be helpful but he's mostly evil.
