Im trying to pass the 2ww time and Im just googling random stuff and just read things about being able to do sperm sorting (when they are washing the sperm) before an IUI. Please don't leave any negative comments about this, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. While of course I would be happy with either gender I lost a baby boy at 16 weeks and just havn't recovered from that and I badly want a little boy.

Has anyone read info about this, done this or considered doing it??

I want another little girl but I'm too chicken to ask our re because I don't want to seem ungrateful. (Hugs) I didn't know you lost a little boy. I can't imagine.

I would certainly consider this for a second baby if I wanted one of each!

Well I never heard of this. I thought the only thing they could do was the PGD testing on embies.

I want to learn more about it myself.

I think you should go for it if you feel it in your heart! I don't think you have to worry about being judged on this board.

There is still a chance to get pregnant with the other sex so its not foolproof. Its something in how they wash them, like do an extra step or something that can somewhat separate the sperm carrying the diff gender gene. I still don't know everything about it which is why I was wondering if anyone here has done more extensive research on it. If the IUI I just did doesn't work I may ask my RE if I get the balls to do it.

If it didn't lower my chance of become pg at all during an IUI, I would consider it!
But with MF issues, every little guy is precious! LOL! I picture myself talking to them cheering them on LOL!

Hey Lindsay, feel free not to answer this but what happened? Do they know why you m/c so late? I have wondered but didn't want to ask

Oh I don't mind at all talking about it! They couldn't find a reason. Me and the baby had all the testing done possible since it was a second trimester loss and everything came back normal. My RE thinks that the later loss (which was my first loss) is not related to the 2 earlier losses I had following that one. He thinks that now its just that my eggs are deteriorating since I ovulate later? I don't know. I just hope that taking the meds and ovulating sooner fixes whatever problem my body is having. It just seems weird because I had zero issues getting pregnant with both my girls. It only took 2 cycles with Riley and 3 with Alexis.

I am so sorry hun

I have read about issues with late ovulation so i think he might be onto something. have they been checking your progesterone? Are they doing a 7dpo draw this cycle?

My progesterone has never been an issue so maybe that is why he isn't doing one. When I had my HCG draws when I was pregnant my progesterone was always really good.
