So, as some of you know, we were told that IVF was our best option, in my REs opinion. However, we have ruled that out for now.

So, we were going to skip a cycle and have a SA done again, since by then he would have been on supplements for around 3 months. Then decide if we were going to go through with another follistim/IUI cycle based on the numbers. Last time it was 1.7 mil.

Now, here on cycle day 2, I need to decide today. We don't have the money right this moment for an IUI cycle. But, we could swing a timed intercourse cycle.

How much do you think that would lower the chances. Do you think it is worth the shot, or would you skip a cycle and recheck? That is probably the most reasonable idea, but I hate skipping a cycle. Mine are so long at times, last one was 70+ days. But, on the otherhand, i dont want to subject my body to all sorts of drugs for no reason.

Be brutally honest please!

Honestly, if it's pretty close to the 3 month mark, I'd skip a cycle to just get a bit of a break (emotionally and financially)! You can always induce AF with provera if you want to get started a little sooner.

I'd still call to give them the heads-up. That way they can have the provera Rx ready for you if you do go that route as well.

Call and see if they will just give you clomid for this cycle since you need to take a cycle off financially.

I agree with this. If Clomid (or whatever you take) isn't that expensive do that and just DTD a ton and have fun with it. Then get his SA done and then go from there. That way you are kinda taking a break with all the IUI/financial part of it but still also not entirely losing a cycle. Did that make sense???cause it makes sense it my head LOL

Ditto above. Clomid s relatively inexpensive, and just try to have fun BDing!

I'd hate to skip a cycle...unless of course you need the emotional break.

Thats what im saying, I hate to skip a cycle. But, my RE does femera. I was on it before, the first cycle I responded well, and the second cycle, I did not respond at all. So, I doubt he will give me that. I am ok with taking a break, I will still track O signs and try on our own, but without meds. It would be around $350 to do follistim, and TI. But, DD has 3 cheer competitions this month, which are EXPENSIVE for a 4 year olds hobby. And we just ran out of oil, so that will be $500. Sooo....it looks like we will have to just do a natural cycle.

Thanks for all the replies!
