I'm not new to JM or to this board, but it has been a while I've posted!
I have a precious 2.5yo little girl. We did 3 rounds with our RE, 2 with clomid and iui and our successful cycle was with menopur and iui. We have maybe been classified as"unexplained infertility" my husband had some issues but nothing too major. Surprisingly, we had a positive HPT back in September 2011. I was scared as heck because we weren't quite planning for another so soon. But that pregnancy resulted as an ectopic. I was treated with shot (not sure how to spell it) and that was the end. I was really devasted to find out that we were not pregnant-- after I finally accepted the fact that our family was growing. We started trying in February of 2012 and over a year later... No pregnancies of any type! I just met with our wonderful RE lAst week. He has some concerns about my ectopic. We will be doing the hsg testing (I hate that) and checking my egg reserve (which is new for me but since I'm now 31, he wants to check. I'm not at the right point in my cycle to start anything this month, but will start next month! I'm looking forward to starting even though the process is stressful/ painful/ etc. The dr kinda left the first cycle up to us...start next month along with the hsg- or wait, do the hsg this month and start the meds in may. Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this? I originally said I wanted to do the hsg and wait on the meds, but I'm anxious and think I want to start it all in April...just afraid the hsg might show something and that cycle be a bust (and it's a lot of $$ to waste). I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have!! Thanks in advance!!!~Blair

I do think the hsg first is a good plan. It can show everything is fine and also clear things out. There is.also an increased chance of pregnancy the 3 months after hsg, so praying that is the magic you need!

Thx for joining us and welcome back!!!

Thanks ladies again! I totally didn't know that about the hsg! And that would actually fall into line with our experience last time! Hopefully we have that same luck again! Plus we aren't doing clomid- straight to menopur and that was our bfp cycle!
