Last cycle I was on 2.5mg femara and ovulated CD24, after a couple of terribly stressful weeks and being sick enough to not even BD during the fertile period. I was hoping that some of that stress and sickness pushed my O back further, and it would be earlier this cycle. My dose was also increased to 5mg. Well here I am on CD26 and no sign of O yet. Haven't had fertile CM since CD16 nor have I had a positive opk. I spoke to the nurse yesterday and she said I could start taking provera whenever and then I'd be back on 5mg next cycle.

My question is, is there any reason you know of for me ovulating last cycle on a lower dose when I wasn't taking my Metformin, DHA, Calcium, or Iron regularly, but not this cycle on a higher dose when I was actually taking my supplements? Do you think it would be worth trying the 2.5mg again next cycle to see if I ovulate again on that amount?

Also is there anything else you think I could do to encourage ovulation other than switching to way more expensive medications?

That definitely seems weird to O on the lesser meds. I don't have an answer for you but I would definitely call to talk to the nurse or doctor and ask what could cause that.

I wish I knew!!!
I'm sorry tasha! How frustrating!!!!
I know you were on a high dose of clomid so why not try a higher dose this cycle of femara. Maybe last cycle was a fluke and you need a push?
I have no idea. I'm sorry!

They said they won't give me a higher dose. Not sure why, as I know people are on higher doses than 5mg sometimes.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry. Nothing was more frustrating to me when trying than to not ovulate!!! It's so hard to be all hopeful and then watch your chart go nowhere.

I really hope that whatever you do, that next month works hun. So sorry

That is so frustrating! I'd think if you O'd on 2.5, you'd have no issues but to O on 5. I'm sorry I can't be more help. I know you said no more meds...but a friend of mine did clomid and then 2 days of gonal-f to boost egg quality/growth...could you inquire about something like that?
