Awww!! You are so sweet to think of me!! Thank you.

Since we are going out of town on Thursday, I can't get in to anyone before that.
So I set up an appointment with a very nice place, that has midwives (I'm excited for that, I really loved my last midwives) next Thursday afternoon, the 21st. I took my time, and looked, and found a place I really think will be great.

At the old clinic. I threw enough of a fit apparently. They are having the OB that's the head of the clinic do my next ultrasound, which will be next Friday, instead of my original doctor. He is highly recommended by lots of people. He took a look at my last one and told the nurse that there is a great heartbeat, and the baby is growing, and it's so hard to tell much else when they are this small. (nothing like doomed, low fluid, abnormal, etc) Honestly, I feel better just that he looked at it and didn't immediately decide that my pregnancy is a lost cause. In fact he sounds way more optomistic than the other dr.
So I will go back next Friday and will be about 9.5 weeks. I feel good about that. It will be like getting my second opinion, even if it's in the same clinic.

Glad that you have a second opinion lined up. Glad that the other OB sounded like he knew more about what is going on. Glad that he is the one who will be doing the next ultrasound. So glad to hear this update from you.

Thanks so very much everyone.
I am going back and forth emotionally. Today, I'm feeling pretty sad. We've waited FOUR years to get a positive pregnancy test. Not to insult people who have been here longer, and been through so much more, but I felt like we REALLY deserved to have this go perfectly. Now there's more waiting, more sadness, I still can't just be happy and enjoy this.

And if it doesn't go well. If I lose this baby. What if it's another four whole years?? Tom won't keep trying that long. It would be too hard on us. What if this is our only chance, and we got our positive, got to see this baby on the ultrasound, got to hear it's heartbeat only to have it end, with nothing we can do but wait?
I love this little bean so much already. And there is nothing I can do.

I'm just so sad today. I want to be hopeful, but I'm just scared. I have no idea what to do with myself right now.

What you are thinking and feeling is totally normal. We've heard and seen it all - on these boards while ttc. ttcma and/or m/c all rob us of being blissfully happy like we should be during this time. You have a great heartbeat in there...and I can't wait to see you holding him/her in October. ((hugs)).

You are right Leah these boards or so helpful but at the same time seeing all the heartbreak can be damaging too.

Susan try and enjoy being pregnant and leave the worries behind. This could be your last pregnancy and you want to soak it all in!

Oh susan I totally get what you are saying and I am so sorry! it's hard not to be a little angry and obviously scared. But focus on what you have told us about the tech and such and try and remain positive! I know it's easier said than done but worrying won't help and won't soften the blow should something happen (I hope that doesn't come across badly).
Try your best to enjoy this time the best you can

Hang in there, Susan. It's very difficult especially with everything you've been through so far. The emotional roller coaster is ridonkulous.
