I had my CD 21 progesterone test done and it was 0.1. So the 50 mg of Clomid didnt work. My doctor has thrown around PCOS but hasnt said for sure or done any tests. He wanted to see me first thing in the morning and I am not sure what to expect. I am feeling a little discouraged. Do you ladies have any idea whats next?

****update****
My doctor gave me Provera to start today. He also doubled my clomid dose to 100 and added metaformin. I go back CD 21 for another progesterone test. Fingers crossed that this cycle works!

probably the next step is a higher dose of clomid, and hopefully mid cycle monitoring to get a better idea as to hwat is going on.

*hugs*

I am so sorry Hopefully maybe he will do some blood work so you can have an idea if you have PCOS or not. So sorry that the low dose of Clomid didn't work for you. It didn't work for me either. It took 2 cycles on Clomid for me to really ovulate (my CD 21 progesterone level was 33). Fingers crossed for you!!! Hope the doctor will help you come up with a game plan to get you your bfp soon!!!

Good luck for your next appointment.
You probably need a higher dose to make you ovulate.

Thank you. I wish we could all get our BFPs!He has said I may have PCOS and he thinks I could have an underlying sugar problem esp since my daughter was so big. Do you know anything about the side effects?

I think I was in the same boat as you... I didn't have PCOS but had many of the symptoms but also felt I had sugar issues (not so much now that I am at a normal weight).
They put me on Metformin with one of the boys (sorry it's all a blur) and I didn't even notice I was taking it. I didn't expereice any negatives.
I also have big babies- 10.13 and 10.15

The only side effect that comes to mind is the fact you can have loose bms borderline diarrhea.
