Hi all,

Quick reintroduction as I have been pretty spacy on my posting lately.
I'm Lisa, and I am 30. My DH is 32. We have a 2.5 year old little boy who was conceived through Clomid 150mg, + trigger+ IUI.

Our journey started in early 2008. We had anticipated that our journey would be bumpy as I've had scanty periods my entire life. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS (although I don't have cysts) back in college.. and through my OB/gyne, we did about a years worth of temperature tracking and mid cycle bloodwork for my progesterone to see if I was ovulating etc.

At the end of that, when I had never ovulated on my own, we went to go see an RE. There we found out that I have high levels of testosterone and low levels of estrogen along with insulin resistance. AND we also found out that DH's swimmers are not exactly the smartest fish in the sea too .

We were lucky in the sense that after finding the correct dosage of Clomid, we got our during our first IUI resulting in our son.

Now comes the fun part haha. We decided in late 2012 we were ready to come back and try for #2. So we made an appointment with our RE for January of this year. A couple days before the appointment we got a call from the RE's office saying that our current insurance (not the same one we had when we had our DS) covered ZILCH and we would be self pay. Oh and our consult on Saturday would be $248, so let them know if we would be coming. HAHA.

So we went just to hear what he had to say, and find out how much all the testing etc would be. Long story short, it was more than we could afford so I immediately started hunting for a new job.
I started back at my old company where I had GREAT insurance and GREAT maternity leave in February and insurance started a few weeks ago, yay!!!

I had to do some baseline bloodwork just so they could see where I was at, and now today was my first day of Provera. Once CD1 starts, I'll be scheduling an HSG, Ovarian reserve testing and some other blood work. I can't wait to get this show on the road!

So baseline (Day 60+ something) was as follows:
Estrodiol: 43
Progesterone: .56
Thyroid: 1.36
Hemoglobin A1C (blood sugar): 5.6

Anything jump out at you? Besides my pathetic level of female hormones haha.

Thanks for reading this far, I know that was a giant crazy book!

As long as none of my testing/HSG etc comes back super nuts and DH's new SA comes back about the same, that is the plan. fx!

Thank you for the well wishes everyone. I am very nervous (things seemed too easy last time!) but excited too!

I think this set of blood work and ultra sound was just to confirm no ovulation, no pregnancy and no cysts. FSH and all that other good stuff will be tested once CD1 starts on the appropriate days .
