I went for my bloodwork and ultrasound today, CD 9. One thing that bothers me is they don't tell me anything. So today I asked how everything looked, and all he told me was everything looks great, looks like you'll have 2 follicles. Ok...... man...how do you guys get all this extra info out of your REs? He didn't tell me sizes or anything. I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed by 2 follicles...was hoping for a few, just to boost my chances of one of them getting fertilized.

Anyways, a couple hours after my bloodwork...the nurse called and gave me the plan. I'm to take my regular dose tonight and tomorrow night and then on Sunday do the trigger shot at 10pm. Sunday will be CD 11. Does this sound about right? How long til you ovulate after the trigger? I have the Ovidrel. She said to BD on Sunday and Tuesday and whenever after Tues. Why not Monday too? Would it be bad if we did it then too?

Then I go back on the 22nd for a blood pregnancy test. How long does it take for the trigger to get out of your system? Should I test it out? I have at least 50 of the Wondfo HPTs..

My RE only told me there were 2 and didn't tell me the sizes. Then the day of my IUI I asked what the sizes were and he only said one really big one and one medium one lol. So whatever that meant!

I did my trigger shot on day 12 and had my IUI on day 14 and I wasn't able to dtd after that because DH was out of town so I do t really have advice on when you should dtd.

I tested out my trigger. It left my body around 6 DPO or 8 days past trigger but I know everyone is different. It was nice knowing that once I really did get a bfp it wasn't the trigger. My RE office would not let me come in until 14 days after ovulation for blood work though. I was too embarrassed to tell them I tested my trigger out and I knew it wasn't from the trigger shot

Good luck!!!!

ovulation is usually 36 hrs post trigger.

trigger metabolizes at approx 1,000 IU per day. if you have a 10,000 IU trigger, then it takes about 10 days. I'm a tester so I start as soon as trigger and test it out and then my way back to BFP.

Wow - I cadn't believe that he wouldn't give you more informatioin each time. I just thought that was pretty standard. I guess all RE's are different but you would think that they would all be understanding of our curiosity and need to understand what's going on during this process. So excited for your trigger! Wishing you tons of luck!!!

I ask for numbers everytime I go in. If they say good I reply with, "Oh so 18mm?" and then they give me a number/s. Same with lining. I won't take "good" for an answer.

I forget, what meds are you taking?
With oral meds most people get 1-2 but the quality tends to be better or the O sooner. Most people who have more follicles are taking something else or over-react to meds like me.
2 follicles is good tho!

You should bd the night of trigger and if your dh has no swimmer issues, I think you could bd everyday. Being you will ovulate at 10am on Tues, you should bd on Monday night to have them there waiting for the egg. And again that night and maybe more if you want to cover your bases.

What meda are you on?

I'd do what Lucy said and ask for numbers. Eeeek good luck girl!!

I test out my trigger so I know it's not a false pos. Mine is usually gone 6dpo or 8dptrigger.

I'm taking 75iu of Follistim.

I will try that next time with the doc, although hopefully this works and there won't be a next time for a loooooong time.

No male issues here. I told dh before I got instructions from the RE that he must have sex everyday for the next week (this was a couple days ago) if he wants his 60 days off (he gets 60 days paid paternity leave at work LOL).

I can't believe all the POAS stashes you all have. lol

My RE never tells me unless I ask. If I forget to ask I just call and the staff tells me anything I want to know.

Yep, triggering tonight. They said 10pm. Hope I don't fall asleep or get distracted. I was doing my Follistim shots at 1am cuz I'd fall asleep putting the kids to bed (sometimes I have to lay down with them til they fall asleep).

Also..curious....they told me to have sex on Sunday and Tuesday and anytime after that. Does it matter what time of day? It wasn't specified. TMI, but we did it in the wee hours of this morning...like 2am. Does that count? Cuz DH is working 14 hours and won't be back til 8am tomorrow morning. I'm thinking we'll try tomorrow also, if he's not dead tired and I can convince him

Am I going to be totally screwed if we can't dtd until tomorrow morning? We did yesterday early, early morning.

Doc had said Sunday and Tuesday, but never specified times. I thought maybe it'd be good if we got another round in today since Sunday's was so early.

Blah. I'm probably worrying too much.
