RE called me this morning. Here is what we got.

7 eggs retrieved - but only 6 look good.
3 eggs fertilized. 2 with ICSI and one on it's own.

So we are down to 3 embies - The two that were ICSI look great. The one that fertilized on it's own is fertilized but a little behind in growth.

Why am I so disappointed in this? ONE I wanted all to be ICSI and RE didn't agree since DH morphology has improved but I sill wanted all ICSI.

I am so scared we wont have frosty incase this cycle doesn't work. We can't do IVF again. This is it. We can swing an FET but IVF nope - this is our only chance.

Come on 3 embies - you've got to make it! I love them already - is that dorky? It's the meds, I think. Lol

We will transfer either Wed (3dt) or Friday (5dt). If they look good they want them to get to day 5 blasts. If they are not looking good they do 3 day transfer to get them in a better environment (my fluffy uterus).
OnlybyGrace had a 2 day transfer so they just go by how well they are developing...

So we need all three to keep developing. I thought I knew how stressful this be but I really had no idea!

You're fine Susan. Ask any questions you want. It helps to talk about it and explain. I wouldn't know any of this if it wasn't for the IVF'ers from this board before me.

I think that is one of the things that is so stressful is that everything is day by day depending on response to stims, linings, eggs, how many fertilized and now how many will make it to transfer.... then the 2WW. Nothing is really in written in stone and that makes it hard.

Very similar experience with our IVF, 3 made it to day 3 out of 4 that fertilized. In my case, only two of those looked very viable and the third was most likely not going to make it but we transferred it anyways instead of leaving it in the lab

We transferred all 3, no frosties left, and I get the absolutely overwhelming panic of "what do we do now if this doesn't work" since that was our only shot.

Praying hard for your 3 embies! Hope they all grow grow grow!!!

We only had 2 embyros, so there was no need to wait for day 3 to transfer.

Gretchen...I am praying, hoping, crossing my fingers, sending good vibes to all 3 of your embryos! I am so hoping that your BFP is at the end of this month! Good luck. The stress of my IVF cycles was more than I thought it would be too...UGH!

I think 3 perfect, beautiful embies are coming your way Gretchen! I have my fingers crossed for you that you get your 5dt too...I know you're worried, but I have such positive feelings about this for you. It will, however, be the longest 2ww ever!

Well now that I know you are HFI, I have huge confidence in that lab! I have big hopes for your 3 embies and I have much faith in that team. I know women that travel from all over to go to HFI especially if they have DOR or POF

We'll be back down there in a few months if we don't get pregnant again on our own. I wonder if it's just the nurse you got and her wording is non-emotional

Lash - I am not at HFI. My clinics stats actually suck for 2009,2010 and 2011.

I am to embarrassed to even show you how bad they are. 2012 where good and 2013 are looking good too.

For some reason I thought you and Melissa were both there!

I blame "the fog" as I call it for crazy thinking!

Are they that bad? Maybe you'll beat all the statistics!
