I'm only around 5 weeks post partum and research tells me only 20% of women ovulate before their first PP period. I've been tracking since near birth and this is the last 2 weeks or so. Today I got the dark one and then tonight I got the 2nd one

However I have no other clues to know if I am really ovulating or just hormones jacking around

And if anyone judges me for trying this soon, I'd like to let you know that I REEAALLLLYYY don't care.

I would be beyond amazed if I really did. I have no other way to check. I can't really tell about CM since I can't distinguish it from lochia and I'm not temping right now so it could just be a fluke test

No judgement here at all except for being happy for you...obviously nothing can erase what has happened you lately, but to at least know your body might be starting to work again is a good thing...allowing you to move forward at least a bit...

It definitely does seem like you are ovulating...the LH test can also spot HCG, so it seems like the HCG has been out of your system at least since you started taking the OPKs, so the timing does make sense...

Sending you the best vibes I can...

I totally think you are about to ovulate! I agree with fromustobaby...the hcg does look to be out of your system and you don't have (obviously you know this) to have a period to ovulate....eeeeeek....catch that eggie Are you allowed to bd yet?

Wow that test sure looks like a positive to me!! And I don't think it's just your hormones being stupid, because it changed... if it was steady, I would be more inclined to think it was wrong. Good luck honey!

Huh. Thought I posted, but don't see it.
It looks like a positive to me! I would think if it was your hormones being stupid, you would be getting steady positives, not just one. Good luck honey!!

(and if anyone judges you, i think they would have to deal with about 25 of us and all our bitter, angry fire )

It looks like a positive... i agree with susan. there are a lot of us that have your back and only you can decide it you are ready or not. And if your head/heart/and body are all ready... go for it.

I wish you luck~

I'm going to join the chorus and say YES! I think you're ovulating! It would be awesome if your body is cooperating with you for a change

And seriously, if someone sees your siggy and then feels that they can judge you...well shame on them!

Well it's definitely a LH surge. I wouldn't miss out on the chance if it were me and I felt up to bding. I was able to bd 5 weeks after I had my LO - even though I wasn't suppose to.

I really can't imagine anyone from this board judging you.

Well..... We've been able to dtd since about 4 weeks with no issues, no pain, been fairly easy

So we of course did the same when I started to see those lines. I'm STILL shocked I might surge.

It looks like a positive to me too I hate how confusing the first postpartum cycle can be. No judgment here either. I wish you the best.

4 weeks? Wow I am impressed! lol Well they do say being pregnant once does make you more fertile - I have no facts behind that but that would be awesome if you could prove it!

I think it was hard waiting when we were bonding through all of this trauma and sadness and wanting to reconnect, so we just jumped the gun. We got lucky because I've heard horror stories!
