Hello Ladies,

Just curious is anyone used femara (letrozole) after unsuccessful rounds of clomid? Costs?

Did it work, any side effects and any tips? My re mentioned switching me to this since my 2 rounds of clomid did nothing.

Thanks!
Nicole

I did one cycle of it. I was on the equivalent does of 150 clomid, and it cost around $300 for one cycle's worth of pills.

I had a similar follicle response as to clomid, but earlier in my cycle. I was more emotional on the femara as well.

I never used it. I went right from Clomid to the injections and I am not even sure why. Probably because of my age.

I hope you get good results from it though.

I did 3 cycles clomid (responded well but didn't like my lining). I am on my 4th cycle of Femara (1st was a m/c but nothing since).
As long as my Dr prescribes it as 2.5mg daily, my insurance covers it. When she she prescribed 2 a day they wanted to charge me $122.
I have heard about coupons online. Also you can shop around- Costco I think is the cheapest and you do not have to be a member from what I read.

As far as symptoms? Less than clomid for me altho my breast seem to always hurt whereas they never did before Femara unless I was PG.
