Today is my birthday & tomorrow we are going to our RE's office for a class on being a Donor Egg Recipient! It is a part of the checklist that we have to do before our RE will allow us to use DE IVF. DH & I are so excited to see what happens tomorrow. We'll be able to pick up our prescriptions for all the bloodwork we need to have too (last time, before we started OE IVF, they took 11 vials from me...Ugh!).
Gretch...I've found my peace with this. It's so weird, but I went on the website where donors and donor children/families can subscribe and find each other. For some reason reading the stories of DE kids finding half siblings and being excited for an extended family makes me smile! I figured out that I'm not alone and that we could eventually have people in our lives that will be special family members for a totally cool reason!
I'm so happy right now! I really needed the time to work through all my thoughts and emotions. I'm lucky that I was given tools to do so and that DH supported me through the whole thing! I think I'm more in love with him too (although, he didn't give me a birthday present yet, so that may change later! ;-) )
