This is weird.* I donít know why I didnít just ask because now Iím stressing.* I got my period yesterday.* Called the office today to start injectables again, nurse said to come in at 4:30 for ultrasound.* That part is normal for me but then she said do you have hcg at home and I said no, if the ultrasound looks good, Iíll need Lupron and the HCG.* She said, well you would need it today and I said oh, I usually donít start my meds until CD3?* She said well sometimes we like to do the HCG on CD2 and I said isnít that the trigger shot?* She said yes.* Stupid me just said oh ok, call it in and Iíll pick it up.* Now Iím sitting here wondering why would I do a trigger on CD2?* Has anyone one ever heard of this???

You wouldn't do a trigger shot on CD2. Whoever you talked to is a dork! Jut ask when you go in at 4:30.

I've never heard of anyone taking a trigger shot on CD2. Definitely ask at your appointment later.

I've never heard of that. I have heard of people using Lupron as a trigger, later in the cycle and it sounds like you are on Lupron...so I thought maybe she meant that, but this is very confusing! I've NEVER heard of taking HCG before your eggs are mature. EVER. And I've been at this game for 7 years.... I don't think that nurse knows what she is talking about.

Did they mean to take an HCG Pregnancy test? To ensure you're not pregnant? Lara was pg and did a whole injectibles IUI cycle!! And she had what she thought was her period.

Update us after your appt!

Omg! The nurse misunderstood the dr. He said the hcg for a pregnancy test, she for some reason thought the shot. Don't ask me how she would think that because as soon as I heard it I knew something was wrong And that couldn't be right but I thought to myself, ok, you don't know everything maybe there is something they know that you don't. So I my first reaction was to check with you ladies because if anyone had heard of this I knew you girls could fill me in. She ended up calling me back at about for and telling me it was a pregnancy test not the shot. REALLY. Anywho, I start my gonal-f tonight to hopefully grow some nice follies and go back thurs for another sono. Thanks ladies!

We should all get together and open our own clinic. I think with all the knowledge on this board we could get some good business and good stats.
I don't do needles though so I'll have to answer phones and I can recruit donors and patients. lol

We will not hire that lady that told you that though!

Yes I'm afraid she will be voted out of the tribe quickly if she thinks HCG should be given early on lol!

I'm a nurse too but I definitely don't want to help with the SAs.

I might need to monitor Gretchen's meds though...
