CD 10

So today I had some mild but unusual cramping. Like AF was coming. Which is something that is not normal...earlier I had EWCM and tonight it's getting thicker. I go for an ultrasound in the a.m. And possible trigger shot.

I worried I already ovulated or something wacky...could the cramping be because I have multiple eggs growing?

I have a normal 28 day cycle...and as far as I know I ovulate around cd14.

You would think going through this I would know my body but I have always admitted I have a terrible memory!

it could be your ovaries reacting to the meds. I had cramping on cycles before my scans and freaked too. Hopefully your scan tomorrow brings good news!

Oh good to hear (not that you had pain) but that it wasn't anything wonky! Told dh we were going to BD just to make sure...of course he had no complaints- but I never BD the night before an u/s- I'm always afraid the dr can tell- haha...I'm so strange!

U/s came back good...we are down to 2 measurable little eggies...17&16. So my cramping wasn't because I ovulated!
How big do they like the folliCles to be? My iui was scheduled for Tuesday, then Monday and now he is shooting for Wednesday. Wednesday would be cd 15... Just hoping we don't miss it...so nerve wrecking!

18 at least to trigger, 20 for IUI. Are you doing a trigger? When do you go back for monitoring? I'd push for monday because they could be 20 mm by then easily.

Could it take longer to ovulate if you have more than your normal amount of follies?

I have a few more questions if you don't mind! You'd swear I was a newbie at all this but 3.5 years ago is too long for my memory!

-do both eggs release at the same time? Or will the smaller wait til it's bigger?
- do they still do the iui if I already have ovulated?
- does the re typically u/s before te iui procedure?

I know I can and will probably ask these questions tomorrow but you ladies are so helpful maybe I can get it figured it out before the a.m!
Thanks!!!

My understanding is that they don't necisarily go at the exact same time but within 24hr of eachother (correct me if I am wrong)

- do they still do the iui if I already have ovulated?

probably... Altho many dr. don't know if you have or haven't

- does the re typically u/s before te iui procedure?
Not from what I have experienced. Are they checking your E2 levels? My clinic doesn't but they should.

I also do OPKs. While they can be inaccurate, they have been accurate for me while on clomid and femara and made feel better.
Make sure to advocate. If your gut says this isn't right, speak up! This is your body! Don't waste time!

Yay! are you also on menopur?

Mondays UPDATE:
we have 1 at 21 and the other at 18.
Trigger shot is scheduled to tonight and IUI is wednesday!

I asked my few question to him today.

He did say that he wants me to ovulate BEFORE the iui.
He said that usually the eggs will both ovulate at the same time. but he was quick to say that not all eggs make babies...so im guesing that smaller one wouldnt produce a baby...

i forgot to ask about the u/s before the iui...but im guessing not if he is wanting me to ovulate before the iui and the trigger shot will make sure I do that....

thanks for all the help!

about 36 hours after trigger is supposedly the best timing so it looks like you are on track

My RE did u/s before the procedure. They do 1iui (that day) if you already O'd- and would ask you to come in the next day to IUI again if you had not O'd. I think your 18 egg sounds good too. The trigger also causes eggs to finalize their maturation. Good luck Wednesday! Will you administer trigger or DH?
