Can you look at these SART stats and see if the clinic looks ok?

Well at first glance it's not bad for regular IVF cycles necessarily but their donor rates are AWFUL. A donor percentage for live birth rate should be at least at 60% if not higher for any lab. Theirs is in the 30's.

I looked at their previous years and donor rates were similar in those years as well. Their IVF rates in previous years are really really awful too which makes me think last year was just luck and not a trend they can reproduce for you or anyone else

Kaiser in Fremont isn't bad. You have like no choices in San Fran or San Jose!

Check out this one in Mountain View

Lucy - they could have changed Embryologist too like my clinic did for a better one. So that is a question to ask them.

I will ask Gretchen!

I called Nova and apparently they only have one Dr so are booked until Fall?
Speaking of, does Nova look like cherry pickers? They also don't seem to do a whole lot of IVFs for a place called Nova IVF.
Ack I hate this area!
I can't do Kaiser because you have to have Kaiser insurance which makes no sense since most plans cover nothing!

I am so screwed!

Remember how I said my clinic's stats sucked? BUT -they have a new Embryologist for 2012 and 2013 and getting amazing stats. Well I asked my RE today and he said they also changed their culture media to something that is brand new as of summer of 2012 and that is another reason why everything is turning around for them. I will find out what the name of the new culture media is (the fluid they grow the embies in) so you can ask what they use.

I bet they've switched to a better media with salts levels, osmolality, and amino acid contents

That is way over my head Lauren

Got it from the staff. It's called Global Media.

Here are my clinics stats. I'll share now... I still agree it's better to pick one with good stats rather then what I did though.

Yeah Life Global has better composition than some others

Sage Cleavage and Life Global media usually come out ahead of a few others. Overall, the data indicate that Life Global and Cleavage media have similar results.

How long until the 2012 comes out for SART? I am thinking of asking them for those. isn't that what you did Gretchen?

So Lucy - that is a good question to ask. What culture media do they use. I didn't know to ask this ahead of time but you will!

Yes -I asked for 2012 stats. I don't think 2012 is published till 2014 because they need to wait to count the live births.

OMG! Freak out moment! I just checked the SART after reading Lash's post on her blog. My RE for frozen DE has a 39.2% live birth rate (only has from 2011). The egg bank I'm getting the eggs from has a 60.1% live birth rate. Should I be worried???
