i have a friend who is getting ready to start a cycle with follistim...she's wondering what a typical protocol might be, and how much it may cost? She's meeting with her RE in 2w but she's anxious and aked me if i knew anyone i trusted to get an idea...you ladies were the first people i thought of.

I lurk in here often and think of you all

between 1K and 3K is what I have seen quoted. It depends on dosage, insurance coverage, and how much monitoring she needs.

her insurance doesnt cover any i dont think. she and i both have blue cross, and mine doesnt cover any, so i assume hers wont either. it's not mandatory in NE or IA that they do.

I think list for my follistim was around $1250, and I was on relatively low dose, I know it can run higher esp. if you have to take additional days (I can't remember but I think I only took for 5-6 days?). Good luck to your friend, I hope it works for her like it worked for me
