I called the clinic today to let the nurse know
i had started my 2nd round of clomid today and she said
i dont need anymore scans or bloods etc...?? ***?!
I asked why and she said as i responded so well on 50mg
and my prog was nice and high, i dont need anymore checks on it.
Just continue this cycles treatment and next if need be.
If after the 3rd attempt i am still not pg, i have to call and make a appt
with the fertility Dr about having DB's S/A done again and then if the result is still
low motility we try IUI.

Just seems strange that i will no longer be monitered. I thought it was to check
that your ovaries were not overstimulated??

I am prob panicking for nothing but seems strange in a way...

Sarah

I was always monitored on Clomid, even if my dr left the Clomid level the same. I always went in for the day 25 progesterone level check, and ovary poke (ok, that's my name for it! He was checking for cysts! ). I think they should continue to monitor you, b/c in my experience, the same level of Clomid can yield different prog levels from one month to the next.

to you!

I guess i just have to trust them huh?
I live in the UK and as i am getting this treatment for free,
i cant demand too much i suppose...

I just hope it works again! I will use opks to get my answer which is ok
but i feel kinda nervy not knowing for sure like last time.

I think that they should at least check your progestrone levels. Most doctors at least do that. Good Luck on this cycle girl!!!

My doctor quit testing my progesterone levels after my third clomid cycle but that was because I was on a progesterone supplement and it was making my levels look high but wasn't necessarily the actual reading of my levels so there really wasn't any point in it any longer.

I have to go in every cycle and get my progesterone level taken when i was on clomid and even now when i'm on my break. My dr. told me to get used to coming in everymonth becuase that is what is needed to be done to follow my care.

My Dr is only asking me to use Opk's, when surge detected the after BD come in for post Coital test (important to see if your body is hostile to his sperm) then a progesterone level at 8 days past lh surge....That's the first time...second time I'm sure it will just be progesterone test - but the progesterone level is to confirm that you are ovulating and responding to the Mg of clomid - if you are it is likely they will let it go for 3 tries then do more testing! Keep chin up -you had a good response so far - now its just a numbers game!

Goood Luck!
