12:01 exactly I got the email. Not overly surprised right?

Guess I get to call the local OB's back and bug them a little bit more.

Yuck, sorry! Mine is right on the cut off - at least it was a couple months ago I need it rechecked. My last glucose was right on the cut off too. Grr.

Anyway.. good luck with the doc. I hope you can get it lower soon!

Yeah...not good. BUT...knowledge is power! Each of these little puzzle pieces is going to come together to help you figure out the best course of action to grow your family.

So I've been told not to panic, the number isn't horrible it just isn't ideal.

The last 3m have also been crazy. I spent most of June living in a hotel eating all take out food and drinking fertilitea sweettea to make me ovulate (organic raw sugar, and lots of it), I spent most of July driving back and forth while packing and living off a lot of take out food. Then I spent most of August feeding Reme and DH, both of who eat like the average american 8 year old boy (pizza, pasta, burgers etc).

So while I am still going to have it addressed by a doctor, I'm going to spend the next 3m before it needs to be redone, making changes to my diet, and my exercise. If a fasting glucose comes back bad, it'll be a new game plan.

There are several options for low GI pasta's on the market I can purchase. I'll try to make what carbs I do eat better for me carbs, and try and increase my veggie intake (again). Night times are going to be my biggest struggle because of my stomach, and will likely be the last time frame I try and make changes to.

So really I just need to go back to what I was doing before the move and just possibly make 2 meals instead of one (one for him, one for me). In 3m it might be fixed, or it might show that it's not something going to get fixed on its own.

There's a PCOS diet book.. has anyone read it? I forget what the name is, I came across it last night then the computer crashed. LOL

So the hospital called me back. They don't actually HAVE Ob's here, they use all Midwives and only do low risk deliveries. I'll have to go to LaCrosse/Onalaska for Ob care. Which isn't a huge deal, that's where I go shopping since this town doesn't have many stores... just frustrating that they couldn't have told me that when I called last week.

I dislike that the mayo system doesn't have an actual section devoted to their OB's. You can just view a profile and a phone number.

The other clinic is a Lutheran clinic, the Gundersen clinic and they do everything from pre-teens to IVF. Center for Women - Gundersen Health System - La Crosse, Wisconsin

I called, tentative appointment for The 19th.. but a Nurse will be calling me back to confirm. Something about not sure if they'll have the right people for my case? argh. I'm so sick of this BS. I am a woman, I have woman parts, they don't work. I just want someone to find out WHY. I'm not asking for IVF, or IUI or even drugs.. I just want to work as right as my body can.

It seemed like everything was fine until she asked if I'd ever been pregnant and I told her we've had miscarriages. Apparently OB's don't deal with miscarriages? Hopefully all she means is I need to go to LaCrosse instead of Onalaska.. it's like an extra 10 miles... whoop de freakin do.

And now I want ice cream and I can't have it and that's making me even more upset. And I want to go home to Canada where my doctor would have handled all this calling around for me.. and I can't do that either.

I'm guessing that they think you need to see an RE (which you do). That's not to say that an OB can't get you started, but maybe they are just trying to pair you up with the best person to help you from the get-go?

I'm a little confused by the clinic you linked to. They do IVF, but they don't have an RE? They don't have anything reported on the SART website, and they give some sort of bar graph about IVF success without even defining what "success" is. These people could be the best doctors on the planet, don't get me wrong, but it seems odd at first glance.

I hope it doesn't seem like I'm raining on your parade...an appointment in less than 2 weeks is awesome! Hopefully this is the first step down the right path to getting everything straightened out with your body

My emotions are all over the place.

If I don't like what they have to say Monday, I'm cancelling. It's not like going for a consult costs me a co-pay... My last one cost almost $300 and he turned out to be a jerk.

Being homesick isn't helping. He told me I could go home, or I could see a doctor and have some bloodwork run... but I couldn't have both. I haven't been home in over a year... the only way I get to go next summer is if we have a June baby or aren't pregnant at all. Gah.

I hate my period.. I'm nothing but a sobby mess.

We came to an agreement, and I'm holding his annoying rear to it this time.

I can see the Dr. any doctor I want. BUT, I have to wait until we have coverage. That way, hopefully some of will go towards my deductible. And I have to maintain a certain amount of our savings at all times. I cannot do anything/have anything done that would require him to miss any time at work. An hour or two is fine, but he has to be able to work 8 hours. If I need anything done it will have to wait until between jobs, or need to be done where someone else can pick me up/watch me etc.

We are purchasing insurance in October (and can't purchase before then), but I don't think our coverage kicks in until January. (still not 100% on this but no pre-existing stuff gets covered until January for sure). Which means no Ob or RE until we have official coverage. I'll still have my thyroid done of course, but I'm going to give myself 3m to try and bring down my A1C myself. So unless the Nurse has a really good sell on Monday, I will probably just cancel and let the old ob run the thyroid bloodwork at the end of the month.

His requests and plans make sense, but are frustrating none the less... especially since this has been an AF from Hell. We were going to go at this cycle head on.. but I think that I'll opk and just dtd whenever Dh is up to it (he has been super tired lately and hasn't wanted to). Our Anniversary is in 2 weeks so we will just take it a day at a time.

I'm also going to try DH into another. Reme's cat had kittens... and I want one

Nope, they did not call. I'll call them tomorrow. I can honestly say, left a bad taste. If it had been test results I'd have understood, but when it them taking me as a patient depends on it? Yeah, not calling isn't cool.

I think I'm just going to call tomorrow and cancel, then call the OB back in the other town and talk to the nurse. PP suggested I get a round of oral anti fungals (I've had persistant/recurrent skin yeast infections for what feels like ever), but I don't want to pay $250 to have him deny them to me again. Quick care would cost me less.

In the mean time.. more finger twiddling and hoping that the supplements will do something positive. Weight loss would be great... a sticky bean would be better.
