Is done as of 8 this morning! One step closer now!!
I feel relieved that I finally agreed to this. I was really not wanting to do it until my doctor would no longer increase my meds without having DH checked. Idk why I was so scared of it.

Ladies who have dealt with this, how long did it take to get results back?

I am glad that it is over and done!

It varies a little from place to place as far as how long it takes to get results...usually 1-2 days for a basic SA. I hope the numbers are awesome!

Well apparently the results are in! The dr office called me about an hour ago, but I was asleep and missed it!! I worked a night shift last night and didn't think they'd call me today, so I wasn't watching for it. I figured I'd have to call them. I called back but they havent returned my call and they are about to close. Guess I'll find out in the morning

Not good

Come to find out... Along with me not ovulating, my DH doesn't have the best sperm.
Now we are being referred to a fertility specialist.
My heart is broken... It looks like a long road ahead of us

I don't know. I can't stop crying. Maybe later I'll be glad, but right now I'm not sure of any of this.

I just found out like 30 min ago.... And AF showed today so I was hoping to start clomid next week, but all that is out now

I'm sorry...it is never fun to get news like that

At least, though, you'll have a specialist who knows all your issues and can design a treatment plan to give you the best chances at success. Going to an RE can seem intimidating, scary, etc. but we'll do our best to help. Here's a great link about your first visit: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f7...pecialist.html (TTCMA Helpful Topics: Your First Visit to the Fertility Specialist)

Do you know your DH's specific numbers? Does he have any bad habits or lifestyle factors that could be affecting his sperm? Sometimes changing habits or adding supplements can make a huge difference.

I know you feel really discouraged right now, but hang in there! Getting a good diagnosis is the first step toward a

I don't know his specific numbers. I'll get a copy next week. I was so stunned I didn't even think to ask. What can be done about this? Everything I read just brings up in vitro and we can't afford anything like that.... My DH doesn't has any bad habits. He's not overweight, he doesn't smoke or drink, he plays sports & exercises a lot...I don't know what he could change. I'm so scared

Do you know what your insurance covers, if anything?

Not knowing his specific numbers, we can't really say what could help or what your options are. Yes, sometimes IVF is the only option, but sometimes an IUI can give those little swimmers the boost they need to get the job done. Supplements or medications can help his numbers. Sometimes there is a blockage or issue that he would need to have surgically corrected.

Try not to think worst-case scenario yet, okay? Take this in baby steps (pun intended).

There are different vitamin regimens and other options that others have had good results when it comes to improving sperm quality and numbers. It gets really old to hear sometimes but you only need one

We get the earth shattering feeling though. It feels like everything is over and like you been punched in the stomach. We remember and we completely get it

I do feel like I've been punched in the stomach and I feel like someone took my world of hope and turned it upside down. And so what do I do, I get on FB and the first thing I see is a pregnancy announcement from a friend of mine.

We had not DTD for 3 days before the SA

And I'm pretty sure my insurance won't cover fertility

I'm considering calling my dr again and asking for specific numbers.
