Hello ladies! Just wanted to update everyone with my birth story and pics from our IUI baby. Some of the girls who have been around for a while remember we finally conceived after 3 years of trying after I had a laprascopy and discovered severe unknown endo.

on April 2 I went in for my scheduled induction at 40 wks, 2 days (had been 3cm at my dr appt one week prior) I was still 3cm, 70% effaced. Dr broke my watet right away which revealed some mecconium in my amniotic fluid. I was pretty upset for a while that would mean delaying skin to skin for a few minutes while he was suction but i knew it was for the best. started Pitocin around 8am. Contractions gradually picked up and pitocin was increased every so often, depending on how my contractions were progressing.
Around 2pm my contractions were uncomfortable enough I asked for the epidural. It was quick and easy and worked great! Within half an hour I felt too sleepy to stay awake... Turned out my BP was 80/40. They gave me 2 bags of fluids quickly and ephedrine to bring my bp up.
Within the next several hours I stalled around 6cm. I changed positions in bed every 20 mins and nothing seemed to help. Also baby's head was pretty far back and pushing down was causing swelling internally.
Epidural had to be redosed around 10pm after it started to quickly wear off. Around midnight my temp went from 98.0 to 99.4 pretty fast. My dr mentioned c section being an option/ possibility at that point but didnt want to push us in that direction.
As of 2am i still had no changes other than increased swelling which was not helping baby move down and out and a rising temp. My level of pitocin was a little over what she usually likes to give. The risk of infection with me and baby grew due to the meconium that was present. Moving forward with more labor was still an option but not a good one. After a lot of hesitation I realiazed that a c section was our safest option at this point.
Everyone was great and the surgery itself was quick and easy (post sugery not so fun though).
So! That's my birth story!

TTCMA was a hard road and one that we may have to face again but this little boy has been worth all the time and money it took to get here. Please never give up!!

What a handsome little guy!!! Conratulations!!!! I hope you have a smooth recovery
New siggie coming soon!

Me: Autoimmune (Hashimotos and Fibromyalgia), vitamin D and calcium deficiency. Treated with Synthroid, supplements, TCM and acupuncture.

DH: Severe MFI (low counts, low motility, poor morphology and high antibodies), likely caused by poor liver function. Treated with Clomid to increase total counts.

DD: Conceived after 1 year of TTC with progesterone to correct LPD (likely caused by undiagnosed thyroid dysfunction). Born Aug 2009 via c/s after an induction due to pre-e and HELLP.

TTC #2 since Oct10 with an early loss in Aug 2011. Post-wash counts are too low for IUI to be successful, so moving on to IVF/ICSI in May 2014!

IVF/ICSI #1 (May 2014): Estrogen priming and antagonist protocol, including acupuncture and prayer!
17/05/14 - Baseline looks good, start Gonal-F 225iu and Luveris 75iu
28/05/14 - 18 eggs retrieved, 14 mature
29/05/14 - 13 fertilized!!! All are looking great still on day 3, so we're going to blast!
02/06/14 - Transferred one 1BC blast, with 3 other blasts and 3 morulas to watch and freeze
03/06/14 - All embryos have arrested. None to freeze
09/06/14 - Faint BFP at home at 7dp5dt!!!!!
10/06/14 - Beta?
