Tomorrow is CD 3 and I am going to start my next round of clomid. How is that being bad - my doctor prescribed it CD 5-9. I know bad, Donna, bad Donna. I have been doing some reading, it seems most OB/GYN's will prescribe clomid CD 5-9 and most RE's will prescribe it CD 3-7 and there seems to be a better success rate on the CD 3-7 protocol - so I figure what have I got to lose.

Have you had good Progesterone levels? Because taking Clomid on days 5-9 will help you develop a good lining if that's been a problem...Otherwise probably no harm in seeing what happens with the earlier dosing. Good Luck!

No my progesterone levels are fine - I am taking it to help O more regularly - my cycles were way over 45 days long - when I O'd my progesterone was normal - it just was taking too long for me to release an egg.

My OB has me take my clomid 3-7 but my progesterone levels are low. Should I take it 5-9 instead?

Personally I would take your clomid as prescribed, the doctor may have a reason why he wants you to take it on those days instead of 3-7. If you question it why don't you call the office and tell him what you have read and if it's something you should do. Good luck either way.
