Ok, so I just picked up my second round of clomid at the pharmacy and it says to take it CD 5-9. Last month I took it CD 3-7 and when I spoke to my OB/GYN on the phone a couple days ago she said CD 3-7 again. Does anyone know if taking it on different CD's makes a difference? I don't know why my DR. would change the days on me like that?!

not sure either, you better confirm with the doctor how they would like you to take it.

I would definitely call the doctor and make sure that it isn't an error. I don't know if it makes a difference. Let us know what you find out!

Taking Clomid 3-7 is suppose to produce more follicles and taking it 5-9 is suppose to create a more mature dominant follicle as well as help your progesterone level if you are having low readings (longer Luteul phase). My Dr told me to take it 3-7 but pharmacy couldnt get the script done till day 5 - he said it was ok and I ovulated and had great progesterone level so I'm glad I took it then.

Good Luck

My label always says take as directed. I think if your doctor said CD 3-7 then I would follow that. CD 5-9 is probably the most commonly prescribed (a lot of OB/GYN's follow it), so I am going to guess that maybe the pharmacy made a typo and it wasn't a switch from your doctor. If in doubt, call the doctor.

I did call my dr. and she said she wanted me to try it on cd 5-9 this time. So let's hope the higher dosage and different cycle days does the trick!

Thanks for all the info!
