today because I started bleeding so bad that I went to a new doctor. This new doctor said that I was miscarrying and that is why I was bleeding so bad and cramping so much. I told him what I had been expirencing for the past month and he said that when I called my doctor they should have done something then. He said that it might not have made a difference but the least that he could have done was tried. I didn't believe him at first. I am still in shock because I was definitely was not expecting that to be what was going on. I just don't understand. Many of you already know from my previous post that it started with light pinkish and some brown spotting then I started bleeding heavy on Sunday and cramping worse than usual and since Sunday I have been bleeding more and more and clotting bad. I was having to go through a super plus tampon and super pad every 10 minutes so DH made me go to a new doctor today. DH is so upset about all of this. He is upset with the doctor that I was seeing, for the infertility issues, because the new doctor (OBGYN) that I went to today made it very clear that my old doctor didn't know what he was doing! I am still in shock from all of this and can't believe that this has happened. Just a few days ago I was wondering if I had O'ed and today I found out that I was miscarrying. WTH?? I am so confused right now and wish I had more information on what caused all of this to happen. Can someone share their opinions on this?? I just thought that I would let you all know what I found out.

The doctor also told me that the bleeding and clotting should start slowing down in the next 3-5 days and he wants me to call him if it doesn't slow down any.

Does all of this sound normal??

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss.

I found out that I was pregnant in early 2003 through a quantitative HCG test. The irony? I had the test on a Friday, and I started one of the worst periods of my life on the following Monday. It was pretty much what you were describing, but I had no idea what the problem was until the nurse called with my HCG results. Needless to say, I was in disbelief (since I was having what I thought was a heavy period) and shock at the positive HCG test. I was also incredibly sad, as that was my FOURTH round of Clomid.

I hope this new dr gives you the kind of care and attention you deserve. As far as preventing the miscarriage, the only thing my doctor wanted to do was test my progesterone levels. Some women have to take progesterone suppositories once they are pregnant as their levels are lower than they should be in order to sustain a pregnancy. He wanted to see a level of 20 or more once I had a positive pregnancy test.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss, and for the way you found out.

I didn't even know I was pregnant because I hadn't even tested yet. I posted on here (What is going on with me?) and was waiting to test. You may have read that post. Then all of this has happened. DH is going to take care of the other doctor. He is so mad at the other doctor. I even asked the other doctor about using progestrone cremes and he had told me that I didn't need them. I had read on here that other ladies use the creme until 10 weeks pregnant and was scared to do it without my doctors consent because I thought that it would effect my results and that the doctor would be upset about it if he found out. I have been feeling sick on my stomach all day today. I think it is because of my nerves. Thanks for the information and insight on my situation it really helps!!

DH is taking care of the doctor situation. I don't know what he is doing but when he is done he will tell me. Right now the doctor wants me to rest and relax.

I did ask the new doctor about pain meds and he gave me Ibuprofen 800mg. to take for it. Honestly it isn't helping the pain at all though! I am very sorry for everyone that has ever been through this because now I know how it feels.

I am soo sorry for you loss. When I had my m/c I found out i was pg I had some light spotting for about 4 days and I took a test just to make sure before I started on the clomid. I got a bfp but my spotting never stopped. i had called my dr and she examined me and put me on bed rest a couple days later i had really bad cramps and horrible clotty bleeding and the bleeding lasted for a few days. There was nothing we could do but my Dr. tried everything and that made a huge difference to me. She even called me from home on the weekend to check on me. I would be soo mad at your dr. I 'm glad you found a new one who will hopefully keep your best intrest in mind. Again I'm sorry for your loss.
